Description This is basically the same city as Capital city of the kingdom of Ginnerland Complete by     nsam85.deviantart.com/art/Capi…

However, the changes I've made are so drastic that it really deserves a new page.

This is one of the ancient cities on this continent, located on the South-Western edge of the Pharos Sea. The climate is temperate to cold, something like Brittish Coluumbia meets Norway.
The city was founded right on a large swath of forest thick with apple, pear, plum, and a few cherry trees.A small river runs from an isolated cove to the north part of the city and empties into the sea over a waterfall between two sections of the city. The small island between the two large parts was the temporary harbor for the city until the main harbor/sea port was dredged and deepened on the southern most shore of the city. The island is now a temple site.  The main harbor is not in the best place that is accessible to the population of the citizens within the city, but was positioned to take advantage of the large orchards that would become the major source of trade and income for the city.(All my other cities my crop lands are basically straight lines, because they bushes and single plants, such as wheat, corn, tomato's, etc. fruit bearing trees are little dots symbolizing individual trees.
A deep river runs from the mountains to the west of the city which would in years to come, would be another major source of trade, with minerals and ore from the mountains. For this reason there is a harbor on the southwestern side of the city which is used only for resources from the mountains to the west.

I had intended to only do a small amount of touch up, mainly creating a bigger harbor the the one in my original drawing.....however the more I got into improving my drawing, the more I realized the city would be quite a bit different.

Changes include
expanding and improving the main harbor
adding a new harbor on the western part of the city for the minerals from the mountains to the west
better water depth representation
greater use of different colors of vegetation
brighter building colors to make them easier to see
putting a floor on my market places.when I first started doing all my cities my markets had grass for floors, but now they are like paved tiles that are a brown/gold/bronzish color
The shores of the rivers that run thru this city originally had crops along most of it. I decided to remove them and put them in better places for two reasons, .....water erosion would constantly carry off a large amount down stream and two   I wanted boardwalks along the entire shorelines of the rivers. Raised sidewalks along the river to help with reducing flooding and damaging property, and making it easier for citizens to travel in different ways in the city.
I wanted to add trees to my crops, so I created orchards along the left side of the city.
