Description
My mother and I always used to talk about how nice it would be to have a pond in the backyard. One morning, (and by morning I mean afternoon,) I woke up to find my mom had single-handedly dug a sizable hole for a pond in front of my favorite tree.

In the years since that day our pond has been the local watering hole for the neighborhood cats and birds and squirrels, as well as a home for quite a number of fish of different sorts.

This watercolor painting is my homage to those fish who have brought such great joy to our yard over the years.
