Description Of the martyrs who gave their lives on the 21st February1952 to let us have the freedom to speak our Mother tongue, Bangla..We haven't and never will forget you...

So yesterday was International Mother Language Day and for us Bangladeshi people, the 21st February commemorates the day in 1952 when countless students gave their lives to fight for our language...so this is a little something I painted as a tribute. The monument that you see in the image is called the "Shaheed Minar"  . Every year on the 21st of February, thousands of people gather there to pay their respects to the martyrs...I haven't been there ever since I was 6 or 7 but I'd like to visit it again sometime. 

Aaanyway um yeah..

Done in Photoshop CS6 with me intuos4

That's awesome that the language wasn't lost, but so sad that people had to die for it

Anyway you did well with this, and using more subtle colours than your usual colourful palette. They really make the red stand out. I think this looks very interesting!

I know right! It's really sad...but we're all extremely extremely grateful for their sacrifice, if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have been able to talk in Bangla...

Thanks a lot Arti! I'm glad you think so...I felt it was better to go for a more solemn palette and yeah like you mentioned would make the red stand out....
