The last one I uploaded was too washed out. This is my love letter to a singer/musician who has inspired me since I first got her CD when I was 15. Ok, it was a tape. (I'm not old so much as poor.) Watercolor and pencil. No fussy border to pull my hair out over. I like this look better.Related content

I used to love listening to Loreena when I wrote and drew. "Book of Secrets" is a gorgeous classic, but I think some of her best stuff is on "Mask and Mirror". Anyway, this picture is so evocative of her music - dark, mysterious, illuminating and searching. And such beautiful line work and color choices. It's put me in the mood to re-listen to her music, but even without all the Loreena love, it's a fantastic picture by itself.
