This is a collage i did a couple years ago in honor of the late great Bill Hicks and an idea he had about the biased nature of the media in america. In the skit he speaks of how you never see radical ideals expressed in the media under a positive light, and to illustrate he speaks of how he would like to see just one positive drug story, which is where i got the text on the collage which reads

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one conciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves."

At the top of the collage you have the typical horrors of our contemporary media while in the center you have Bill Hick's postive drug epiphany revealing never before seen insights to a virgin mind (the awe struck baby, in this case, representative of society as a whole perhaps)

The collage is done on the back of an old 2 by 3 ft poster and was composed of about twenty shredded news week magazines, took about two weeks. Sorry for the grainy photo, but i think you get the idea
