It feels good to reshare art here after more than a year of leaving. Man, how nostalgic. I miss old DA but then again who doesn't; at least the Submit function is pretty much still the same.
I wanted to do art-trades, I wanted to come back with a "bang" of sort, and to make something special for a fellow friend who I've had the chance to support and get support from these past few years. So I tried something new, a new style of sorts I'm experimenting with.
It might be one of my most ambitious projects to date as this new style required a surprising 33 layers on SAI, a number I've never even gotten close to before! And that's without counting some filters and additional effects!
But overall I'm pleased with the result.

Will I ever use this particular style again? Who knows, depends on what you people think of it. Should I continue with it? How can I improve it? What do you think of it? I'm curious.

Anyway, it was fun drawing this fella after so long. SweetMintality is probably the user I've done most art for, as gifts, contests or art-trades, heck I even have a folder in my computer dedicated to art I do for her because of how much I've done over the past few years, and I'm always glad to be given an opportunity to work with her.
