My first completed peice of art for 2006. This came out really good I thought, and the final layout I chose to do really grabs your attention. Hope you guys enjoy.This peice is dedicated to someone special that I know

the lightening is very special for this piece and
i like it very much.
i although like the interesting lightened building
in the back. the texure of the smaller planet
looks very well... i just think - but i am not quite
shure - that the texture of the larger planet at
the right boarder is sperized enough...

You're right, the larger planet isn't as round looking as I wanted it to be, but the planet from the beginning was short on resources to the point where I couldn't do a whole lot with its shape. I'm glad you liked the rest though

I love this image! When it initially loads, I was simply blown away by the detail you can see in the large planet, and it made me want to see more! Usually, I give the art that requires me to scroll the first screen to get my attention, and this did it! Awesome job!

I think it looks great, but the center lense flare in the center looks too.....hard, needs to be blurred a bit, imo.

im not sure i like the big planet, theres something about the way the texture is curved that doesnt look quite right, but the texturing itself is very nice, as is the smaller planet, and that nebula is awesome, apart from that lens flare, the horizontal flare is lopsided (i.e too far to the right) and i think those diagonal flares dont really work, but hey thats just me
everything else is great, and congrats on your first '06 deviation

nice and detailed work.... is that somebody me? ^^ I hae to agree with the last reply... the moon looks kinda lifeless... try to add some citylights in there or something...

But the smaller moon is too flat. It makes the whole thing look 2D. not good.
