I totally understand! Models are pretty precious when you've put all that time and effort into it. I have only one that I've made myself, and oh lord handing it to someone... I don't know that I'd ever be able to do it, even if they promised none of what they do with it would see the light of day! (But, it also took me a solid month to just get the hair right)
I'll stop rambling now.

this model wasnt necessarily the hardest to put together but i just really fell in love with the character that it was made for so yeahhh
