This was inspired by a contest I have entered, [link] . I'm nervous! This is one of my first pictures I have put up here that I took on my new camera. I am still just learning it, so please be kind and show me me positive criticism! I would appreciate anyone telling me how they think I am doing!

A little background: This contest is for a great cause, first off, which encouraged me to enter it. My family has always "rescued" animals from bad situations because they deserve to be loved too.

Max, is our english bulldog, and she loves attention. She's constantly putting her paw on people to get it! Let's be honest, bulldogs aren't the most "gracious" of animals, and their bodily functions (burping/farting) can be horrendous! A lot of times I think "wow that's disgusting" and don't want to touch her. Then she comes over to me, (and others in our house), and she puts her massive overgrown paw for her short/fat body on me. Now, if you've ever seen an english bull dog, they've got the "sad eyes" down! When she looks up at me with her big eyes and all those wrinkles I can't help but remember, even though she's a little gross, all she wants is love, just like me. She wants someone, just like I want someone. Everybody needs somebody in the end, we all want to be loved, and deserve to be loved. Everybody needs somebody, and animals are especially helpless.

I took a picture of us hand-in-hand because not only am I there for her, but she is also there for me too. Animals are amazing listeners, and the best part is: THEY NEVER TELL A SOUL! Also, when I'm sad, lonely, depressed, etc., my animals are always the first to notice, and even though they can't talk, you can see in their eyes that they care. Even if all that they can do is put a big massive paw on you, it can make everything better because they're there for you. That's just it, owning an animal is amazing in every way. Being there for them, and having them there for you is priceless, even if they do burp, fart, or make messes sometimes, it's all worth it!

The amount of animals that are in bad situations is horrendous; it makes me very sad. Plese, if you can, help them out. Remember, everybody needs somebody, even animals.
