I really like how detailed your style is, the shading, texture for the hair, and clothes just look super interesting. Great work!

Oh thank you so much, i'm really glad you think so!
His coat was especially daunting for me given how detailed it is in the film, but i'm happy with the result of it, and i'm happy that you like how it looks as well c:

Also, what did you think of BR 2049's portrayal of women? It's a debate my friend and I are having and I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I knew there was a bit of controversy when it came to that particular aspect of the movie prior to my viewing of it, and that had actually made me a bit apprehensive, but after watching it, I have to say that I wasn't all too bothered by it. Yes, a huge chunk of the female cast was killed off by the end of the movie, and that, I think, should be addressed; and a few of those characters do play into some stereotypical tropes that do play into the controversy of it all, but at least they each had a bit of nuance to their character before they died that made them all memorable, in my opinion; which is more than I can say for the average blockbuster's portrayal of women as a whole, who either a) are made into blatant eye candy and are overtly sexualized, b) are made into just another boring love interest, or c) are a and b combined. I think the only character that was truly sexualized was the giant pink hologram of Joi, but I think that was the point. To show the stark contrast between what Joi was made to be versus the character that we've come to know throughout the movie, which kinda coincides with K's arc in a way.
And then there are arguments that can be made about Rachel's role in the movie that kickstarts the whole plot essentially, but I think i've said enough.
Both sides of this debate are completely valid, and of course Blade Runner isn't going to be hailed for it's portrayal of women, because, let's face it, the original had its fair share of problems as well that are just as bad; i.e the consent issues pertaining to the scene between Deckard and Rachel before they have sex. Now that was absolutely horrifying to me, especially since it's played as romantic, and Deckard essentially takes advantage of Rachel in that scene.
I think the only scene that truly bothered me in 2049 was the gratuitous murder of that newborn replicant, which was needlessly cruel, even if it did play into Wallace's speech about wanting a replicant with the ability to reproduce. That scene was just a bit too much for me.
This turned out to be a bit long, but you did ask for my thoughts on the subject sooo
