I finally got productive and finished a piece that's been stuck in my sketchbook for several months now!

The idea for this first came to me when the video for the title's namesake first came out and I was disappointed that there were no actual references to either movie in the video considering both were some of my favorite movies at the time (American Psycho is still very much so; the latter, however, I have mixed feelings thanks to he who must not be named)! Cut to four years later, after so many attempts at trying to make this particular concept come to fruition, I finally got my annual fixation on American Psycho and decided to have another go at it! So now, here we are!

Anyways, the picture above is based on the bathtub scene in American Beauty for which I have replaced 'he who must not be named' with our titular American Psycho c:

-I used a different type of watercolor paper for this (something with far less noticeable fibers), seeing as I had received new art supplies last Christmas, as well as a new batch of watercolor paints, so this is the first time i've really used both for a finished picture and I have to say that I think they're far nicer in quality in comparison to my older stuff. It's either that, or i've just gotten better at painting lol
-The reason why I held off on finishing this was out of pure and utter laziness. I couldn't be fussed to take the time to prepare and arrange my desk for my watercolors so it just sat there for a long ass time and I felt really guilty for not finishing it whenever I looked through my sketchbook and saw it there, limp and half-colored
-As for any gripes, I think I could've done a better job at shading, as well as my overall lineart. I debated with myself whether or not I should outline the whole thing in pen, but I feared it'd take away from the other aspects of the picture so some of the lines are pretty iffy (as well as the anatomy, for that matter). Also the roses in the tub lack in definition, so I guess it could double as blood if y'all prefer to see it that way!
