I apologize for the poor quality photo, but this is the best angle I could get, and my phone has run out of storage!

When I was very little (around 5-7 years old), I really wanted a baby Simba toy in a position like this. But at the time, no such plush existed, the only ones that came close were the retro infant Simba plushes with the weird feet (none of which I owned). So, near 20 years later and given my new love for making soft sculptures, I decided to treat my inner child with something more personal, and here he is! Baby Simba!
He's made out of wire, pipe cleaners, roving and colored wool using a craft technique known as 'needle felting', a very easy and fun craft to do. He looks kind of big in the picture, but he's only slightly bigger than a Coke can. I've been working on him since early June last year, I procrastinated on him for so long because I was afraid of messing it up, as a lot of traditional artists and sculptors can relate to; I'm sure.

I'm definitely proud of this one! My absolute favorite of my needle felt creations!
