Description These are my favorites to bring to conventions! I have them for sale on my Etsy now. www.etsy.com/listing/253809999…

These little guys have always been so popular, I never take them home after a day of having a booth at a convention.

This is a small light box that resembles the TARDIS/Police Box! It's roughly 7 inches tall and 3 inches wide. It is laser cut out of 1/8th inch birch wood and is painted with a matte dark blue finish. The paper is a semi translucent white (it turns green and pink at some angles) it that will glow once a tealight is placed inside.

jsut a thought, use a metal cross and make the little light on top as a hook point?

I could do that with wood easily, I'm afraid I don't have enough metal to use for all the ones I'll ever make! I'll definitely try that soon!

if you brace the wood properly you shouldn't need the metal, was jsut thinking of a centralized hanging spot

I'd still have to redo the top entirely since the top sits lightly on it, and has no way to hold weight. I'm unsure if I'd want to make the edges that stick out at the top a hanging point, since cut wood is rather fragile and I'd hate to have someone accidentally break their box.

I could possibly redo it, but at the moment I'm not entirely sure how. I'll have to play with it some more!

hmmm... if you slot it flat (horizontally)... and then screw a dowel through the center to mimic the light on top... or maybe a hook/bolt and nut through the middle for support? Dunno

I'm afraid I don't have any dowels I could use, I'll try something out eventually though.
