I really love ukiyo-e, and have been wanting to do some traditional artwork like this for a long time. I am definitely going to do more of these.

I heavily debated on shading with with some light shading, but decided against it since the reference pieces that I have from Utamaro and Hiroshige don't have it.

I think I also will create more pieces where the geisha has land on her kimono, I very much love the idea.

The kanji says Spring, Summer Fall and Winter. Also, the land around her dress represents those seasons as well. In the lower right, the kanji box is Kohaku = Amber = My name.
Definitely getting this printed.
Size is 12,000x17849 at 300dpi, or 40x59.49 inches.
I stopped using photoshop documents, and have converted to just using solely psbs for my bigger work so I don't have to deal with resaving it as one!
Photoshop, maybe three hours.
