Description
Original theme was "Wild Beast", I decided to do the "King of Beasts". This was supposed to show some symbolism of the lion's qualities of power, pride and ferocity and the man's desire through time to control and tame the wild nature. The circle that the lion jump through was to resemble those kind of flaming hoops used in some displays of lion taming at circuses. Well like I said, that was my original intent but I spent too much time on this and it never felt quite right, I'm still not 100% satisfied with it. The symbolism is not that apparent and I'm not feeling like continue working on it. However, while doing a quick research on the title "Leo" I came across that in the zodiac, Leo's element is fire and it's sign ruler is the sun, so I guess the symbolism thing kinda worked out anyway.
