Popuri from Harvest Moon!I love Tomie dePaola's art, and thought his style would be great for Harvest Moon. I started this in March of 2017, but wasn't happy with the sketch...until I stumbled upon the file today and found it charming! So I finished it up, and I'm glad I did, because I think it's really cute <3 It reminds me of a title card that would be in the beginning of a book.
I'd love to do this with more harvest moon characters, we shall see! : ]

This is so wonderful! It always amazes me how many different interesting ways you can draw Popuri, and this one is no exception! I just love seeing your take on Tomie dePaola's style so, so much. It was so perfect that you showed me this picture when I'd been listening to this song that very day! I really like the little details, such as Popuri's boots, the folds of her skirt, the flowre basket, and her smiling but slightly mysterious expression!!!! And the little ridges of the hedges, and the decoration on the top... It really does feel like a title card in the beginning of a storybook, and I'd love to see more of this sort of picture in your style!!!

OMG NORREE!!! this is so sweet! Plucked right from the pages of a fairly tale about a young girl who collects pink cat flowers and leads the chickens wherever she goes.
