Description I think this is one of my best works Do you agree? ^-^
But I think I must continue improving at backgrounds .__.

The title is simple, but I like it anyways

So! This is the 2nd prize for my contest! And this time, it goes to Ysulyan !

This is his dragon Ysulyan (I like his design so much) He's looking to a sunset from the mountains

I had a stupid shading block, but now it's gone!
I was trying some new things with background here, like rock's texture (where Ysulyan is standing) And with clouds too
However I must improve with mountains a little bit more

And I like his pose so much, I think I had a great idea with it

I'll request critiques here, it would be awesome to know how can I improve
And I sell this pic too (if I know how to do it ), maybe I'll have some new prints soon

Hmm, this is a very nice piece, I'm sure Ysulyan will be very happy with it e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> The lineart is nice and smooth and the shading of the character's also done well.

Now regarding the character's anatomy... generally it's very good! The only things I would say may need a bit of tweaking are~:
* The length of the body. I'm not sure if it is down to the angle but I feel the body needs to be a little longer as the torso seems to be a tiny bit too short regarding the distance between the front and back legs.
* The tail. Again because I'm not sure what angle you're trying to pull off here, it seems way too thick. You can see at the base of the tail where it gets thinner, but then it suddenly goes thick, it feels like the dragon has a rather large and heavy tail. Instead make the part of the tail closest to the viewer a little bit thinner.

Okay, now onto the background. The colour palette here is good and I'm liking the clouds you made! However again there are elements of it that require a bit of correction~:
* The mountains all look too similar in shape, and the way you've shaded them doesn't quite look right; it looks like you got a little lazy on this part. There would be much stronger shading here; some parts either really dark (a dark pink or blue) or very bright (bright yelllow or bright pale orange) depending on where the light hits.
And also because of the positioning of the sun, I feel a solar flare effect would be good to use over the tops of the mountains, and the clouds would have similar shading effects to the mountains.

Another point is that this dragon doesn't look like he's standing on anything, and it could be said that it looks like you accidentally erased the bottom half of his left leg. Make the ground he's on more defined, and a slightly different colour as well, because it blends in too much with the background. It will also help with the angle you want to pull off.

Also, a *VERY* good tip to have for art in general is to have a lot of references available (photos, realism drawings etc), especially for the backgrounds. They will help you to get a grasp of how shading works and how to improve the composition of your piece.

I agree with you in all things
I was trying to draw the dragon in a complicated angle, but I don't really feel like it's perfect And yep, the mountains can be much better

I'll just practise more (specially backgrounds)

Overall, it looks pretty good. The only thing which could be better is background...no need to make it that blurry. You have rocks on the left, which have better detail. Use them as an example of how the mountains on the background sholud've looked like. Just my opinion though.
