Another watercolor from years ago. All my paintings are from years ago. I'd paint a lot of still life's and landscapes, because I figured I should do what sells. What I really wanted to paint is aliens or giant attacking giant spiders - something I'd actually enjoy. Anyway, because I'd spend all my time on works like this, I stopped enjoying myself and had kind of a 6-year long falling out with art. I'm starting up again, but the scars run deep.And the lesson is.... Paint what you love!!

Very true, but I must say- this absolutely amazing! I do love the contrast and the texture of the wood and leaves is spot on!
