Description "Matsuri" means "festival" in Japanese, for those of you who were wondering. ^-^

I did this as a submission at a Japanese Festival that was held in my area recently... I didn't win, but... xD It was still fun to do. ^^

When I scanned it, it totally killed the colors, so I had to go back over the grass in Photoshop to make it green again. I couldn't have yellow grass. Ew. xD
I also did a quick color correction in Photoshop to help make up for the sabatoge of my evil scanner... >.>;

Done in Derwent colored pencils, and gel pen for the characters... which, by the way, say: "Kodomo no tame ni", "For the sake of the children". It was the festival's theme. The orange/red characters say "kodomo" meaning "child"... or in this case, "children". ^-^
