The background here is so interesting. It's so simple, but it really weighs. For me, it's what marks "the endlessness of it". Probably in time and space, but mostly, in the understanding and not understanding of it, in the side-thoughts and the other feelings of it which can't be shown and conceived within a portrait (within anything that stands and has borders and is defining, but that's kind of everything). For me, these folds look like they are part of a big wall with much more folds which we can't see and they say "There's more to it than that. You'll never fully know the context of it, you have to consider the uniqueness of it. The uniqueness of it is endless." Not exactly though, and I make it sound like it's threatening. And I don't know if it is, it's quiet and maybe gentle, too. There's maybe a lot of love in the folds. Like I said, it's unknowable.

(I'm commenting only the background, but of course the rest would be very beautiful and expressive even with a different background. Also, you're welcome to hide this, if it's weird.)

Such honesty, both in the art, and in the words. I remember after my mother died, I was passing a mirror and caught sight of myself, and it was there, in my eyes, clear for all to see. Grief is a visible thing, too, and you've captured it perfectly.

Well spoken, my dear -- and well learned. The toughest lesson of all, and you've demonstrated it with much grace. I am proud of you...

Brilliant, Snail. I know I say it a lot but it's totally true: you keep taking huge leaps and bounds with your artwork and you make so many incredible pieces I am completely stunned. I'm a little intimidated by your work now aha. But do not worry, that's a good thing. Keep at it, girl! You're amazing!

and longing. remembering. so much that you feel like you can't take it anymore, so much that you feel like dying inside; so real and solid that it feels unreal, like a separate reality. but it's not, it's so real and it's you, within you, always, everywhere. it was so soon, so unnecessary and sudden, still, very much real.
it doesn't go away, it's all around you, it's in you, it's you.

i respect you so much, i can feel your grief, and by this amazing piece of artwork i can see it.
thank you from the bottom of my heart.
thank you so much.
