I`ve been experimenting on that one, and the version, hat finally satisfied me, was so huge, that I couldn` upload it here.So, just in order not to make all this time wasted, I submit one of the small versions, that sort of...happened XD

Changed? Why, what do you mean? O_o It`s been a while since I last read one of her books...-_-` But I did like The Vampire Chronicles, and the tale about witches from New Orlean. So the change...now you really have to tell me!

Well, both the sagas ended (the one of the Vampires and the one of the witches Mayfair). Then she's closed with that kind of stories and she had such a religion's conversion (maybe for the death of his husband, of who I've loved the poetry).
And now she's writing only stories about Jesus, Saints, Old Testament and so on...

Wow. That`s just...so sad. As much as I respect different religions, I have a cold approach towards zealots of all sorts. They scare me :/
Maybe after `Memnoch the Devil`, where Lestat is drinking Jesus` blood, she felt she went too far? ( I don`t think she did, but I`m not the one, who had a revelation 
Anyway- I think I`ll just stick to her vampiric/witchy/passionate stories then

I agree at all with you.
I've readed the vampire's saga until the last published book here in Italy "Blackwood's Vampire". And I've not noticed any changes...
Anyway we can satisfy ourselves with all her books until their end.
Have you seen the houses? XD
I guess that side of New Orleans is still so... and that it was kept from that tragic event: they would be the luxury sides.
Maybe we can see them standing there yet.

For what I know, however, Anne Rice has left New Orleans and she lives in California... (but I'm not sure about it).

A total change of a lifestyle 
I haven`t been to New Orleans yet. To tell the truth, I haven`t been to US yet...
But hopefully you`re right, maybe there is still that old look left somewhere
Btw, if you like stories with old, mysterious houses, check Orson Scott Card`s `Homebody`. A bit of a thriller, a bit of a gothic tale, very good for a winter evening
