Fabric is softer, so it blends into mixed environment better than metal plates, it could be useful in dampening radar imaging, and would help reduce the amount of dirt and debris getting ground into at least some of the more complicated joints and other mechanical systems.

Same reason you'd make it humanoid: so it could use human weapons and equipment.

That would reduce the available internal volume for more important components. Containing things inside the armor that aren't absolutely vital would necessitate expanding the internal volume, increasing size, raising it's profile.
Size increase necessitates more powerful motors, which raises power requirements, increasing the size of the powerplant/battery size necessitating larger motors to handle that weight increase.
And so on and so forth, this type of death spiral happens all the time in tank development.

I could have used one of these when I lived in Philadelphia...
just for general security purposes.

Haha, I can't make sure it's 100% safe though.

Nice details and shadings ! How do you even begin coloring after the first sketch is done ? Do you suggest any tutorials ? You look like you know some techniques and i really need to improve my work.

Cheers, thanks! I've done blocking the entire line art first with single dark tone, then put the colors each by each. After that multiply layering for the shadow part. It's not that hard because this was (almost) flat colored piece and I think many artists already showed similar tutorial here and there.
