Prescott is home of the Cardinal sports team. I've always found it ironic because we are on the bluffs of the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers confluence and the majestic eagle is much more common and seems a more fitting name. But, then I catch a glimpse of Cardinal Red and I stare until it is out of my view and I understand why the cardinal is one of the most beautiful parts of my home town's history.
