Moon Glance Part 2

Takato:

Takato glared at tigress trying to gauge her speed, examining her movements. The wolf was prepared for her to be fast, as his mother told him long ago of the majesty of their clan, and how they were trained to strike lightning fast and with deadly precision. He knew how quick his mother could be when she demonstrated her kung-fu moves when he was little he was not expecting tigress to match her skills yet however. Takato stared at Tigress as he was distracted by how similar she looked to his mother, the moment of reminiscing however cost him as a power kick came straight at his head the wolf not able to move correctly as he left his whole right side stance open. Takato hopped back although seemingly a moment too soon, although he didn't get hit by the powerful blow somehow. he frowned he couldn't believe that he let her get so close with an attack as he sees her going into a defensive pose.

Tigress:

The cat was watching the wolf as they were fighting when she noticed that he seemed spacey and distant for a moment. She took the opportunity to strike as she gathered all her chi into one large kick not holding back because she couldn't afford to lose this fight. Watching takato he didn't seem to see the whole situation as he did not go into a defensive pose, or block, and if he took the power kick full contact he was sure to have broken his neck at the last second she stopped her foot a hair away from impact. he seemed to have snapped back as he reacted afterwards hopping backwards as he seems to have come out of his confused state. "What is wrong with you! if i hadn't of stopped my foot you would of died! this fight is done, i have won!" she says sternly waiting for him to explain himself.

Takato:

Takato gave her a bit of a smile as he nods, "well give me a little bit of credit, i was a little distracted by my thoughts sister." he scritches under his chin as he talks.

Tigress:

"Don't call me sister! i don't know who you are, so what right do you have to call me your sister!" she glares at him angrily her nostrils flaring a bit as she thinks about who this guy could possibly be.

Takato:

He once again looks at her, he thinks how tigress, even though she is angry she still reminds him of mother, but the fight was not long enough for me to gauge her true power. "show me sister....err tigress, i want to see your strongest move, it surely wasn't that kick, i want to see how far you have come."

Tigress:

calmed down slightly happy that he corrected himself, and called her tigress. She was not one to show off as the fight was done, but for some reason she wanted to prove herself to this stranger. the tiger goes into a new fighting stance, taking deep breaths as she goes through the kat-tas to get into the end pose of the stance, "i'm sure you know what this stance is am i correct?"

Takato:

the wolf snickered, "yes, its the preparation to perform the claw of the tiger, a secret tiger-technique which can be very dangerous, possibly able to level buildings." he looks around, "i have a feeling we should take this one outside." he walks out the door, past the spot where po and viper had been watching the fight, the wolf thankful the dragon warrior and viper had not decided to hop into and interfere with their fight. tigress began to follow him outside leaving her stance, as she walks out po grabs her arm.

Po:

Grabbed her arm and looked into her eyes, his eyes filled with worry and whispers to her, "you aren't really going to do that technique are you? you have nothing to prove to this stranger and we don't even know who he is! we should tell master shifu about him tigress."

Tigress:

Puts a paw on his shoulder and giving him a gentle smile, "don't worry po, I don't think he means to hurt me, he could have done so earlier, but i think i do what to demonstrate to this takato what i'm capable of. She walks opposite of him on the training ground, standing in her own square on the other side of the open space. takato say out loudly for her to hear, "So can you fully control this technique you are about to show me?" he looks at her. she replied back ,"yes i can." she says with confidence back to him.

Viper:

puts her tail on po and saying to him, "po let her do this, she knows what she is doing, and besides if he pulls anything funny, i'm going to go and bind him." she says with a snakelike slither.

Takato:

He stands opposite of tigress, the wolf doing his own kata's going into the same pose that tigress was. "to be honest tigress, you are probably more skilled than I in the ways of kung-fu, and i am very impressed that you have mastered the secret moves you have displayed all on your own." he pauses a bit, "mom was the reason why I have learned these techniques so i had help, to answer you question about where i learned my moves from." his smile was gone as he talked of mother, the wolf thinking of her even in this tense moment. tigress did her own kata's getting prepared for the claw of the tiger again, as she goes into a ready pose, "well i look forward to talking after this, and i am honestly curious about your abilities as well." Po and viper kept watching, as they hear a familiar sound behind them, "master..."

Tigress:

as both of them began the final motions to put the technique into action, the air began to shift around them both as their arms began become covered in blue flames, tigress then shouted out, "READY!" followed a moment later by takato shouting, "READY!" although he left his stance first to expel the energy he had built up running towards tigress, as she did the same mirroring takatos movements. they both extended their paws in front of them, the flames taking shape of a giant claws as she ran right up on him, and looking in his eyes and for the first time realized, that he was truly her brother. In the instant of that realization she got a flashback of a wolf that looked just like takato but she could barely remember she was only a cub, it had to be him. tigress began to lower her paw, changing the direction of the energy so it would not impact him but not enough as it was still going to hit him, but not kill him. She had to redirect the pure chi, not able to stop it.

Takato:

Locked eyes with her as well, and seeing her change in demeanor, knowing something had changed right then and noticed that she lowered her arm to miss him, but he realized this too late, as he still had his arm directly at him, it was too late to change directions as he thought, i'm going to kill her, i just saw her again, and this is going to kill my sister what have i done!

Shifu:

Was running in, right after they started charging one another the two not noticing him as they were focused on one another. He was a bit surprised seeing both of them using the same technique on one another, but didn't have the opportunity to linger on it, as they were going to kill one another. shifu dropped his staff, as he hops into the middle of them, grabbing the wolf first by the shoulder with his right hand, and tigress with his left as he flips them both onto their backs, the expended energy going straight up into the sky where the two claws exploded in showers of blue light. po watched the whole fight, and couldn't help but say, "oooh, pretty fireworks." when this happened as he did not understand exactly how close they had both been to death.

Tigress:

got the wind knocked out of her as she was flipped straight on her back the explosion bright to her as she seemed to have another flashback, of her and a wolf cub playing in a grassy yard together in front of a small building, but it quickly faded as her chi was used up, and she passes out.

Takato:

after being flung on the ground, he quickly hops back up, his chi overloading as an image of a blue tiger appears around him and roars, as the wolf seemed dazed. Ah i used up too much chi, i'm losing control of it. shifu looks at him and goes into a ready stance seeing that me might not of been done, "stand down stranger!" he yells out. although as quickly as the tiger head appeared around takato, it dissipated as he dropped to a knee, and breathing quickly, "arrrrgh!" as he was barely able to stop his chi keeping it under control.

Shifu:

"Po, Viper! take care of Tigress!" they nodded and said loudly, "yes master!" as po walks over to check her vital signs, seeing that she was still alive, but just passed out. "she is fine viper but that was too close." the panda then looks at viper, "see if master shifu needs help, i dont trust this guy." he says with a stern expression, but shifu puts his paw up, "its not needed Viper, i don't think he can even walk right now." He approaches him, "i hope you can explain this and what happened here."

Takato:

He looked as shifu approached him as he says with harried breaths, "im, I didn't mean for it to happen that way, but i thank you so much for stopping me, otherwise i would've killed my sister." he starts to cough as he felt like passing out himself, "i..i used a lot of chi im very weak right now." his vision goes blurry a moment as he fights unconsciousness.

Shifu:

leaned over and looked at the canines eyes, seeing the same exact eyes that tigress has, could he really be her brother? "so stranger, tigress's brother you said? why are you..." shifu stops as he sees the wolf finally collapse hitting the ground, "or perhaps we will talk later, Viper bring some water, and Po bring tigress over here." which they both replied, "yes master."

Takato:

he looks at master shifu the wolf still dizzy but quickly regaining his strength as shifu pushes him down as he tries to get back up. "i will be ok in a couple minutes." he was suddenly hit with cold water from the bowl that viper brought which brought him to wake up a bit more. As master shifu took the bowl putting it to his mouth and forcing him to drink, he was too tired to fight the kind gesture.

Tigress:

She opened her eyes, the tiger also feeling quite dizzy as she looked up at po, "huh what? what happened?" Po still held her in his arms and said softly, "bringing you over here to master shifu and this wolf." she blushed a little bit as she noticed how po was looking at her, "hem, well i'm uh fine now you can put me down." he nods and gently puts her back on her feet, steadying her but as soon as he put her down she advanced on the strange wolf, "YOU! you're a liar! I KNOW i was put into the orphanage by two tigers, and you're a wolf! this can't be possible!" the tigress was seething in anger the wolf somewhat stunned from the outburst from her as she mutters under her breath, "he must be a liar, he can't be telling the truth" she was trying not to think about the feelings she was getting as she was fighting with him, trying to ignore them.

Takato:

Rises slightly and looks at tigress, the wolf no longer as aggressive as he was earlier as he speaks, "you weren't given to the orphanage by mom and dad, it was our grandfather and grandmother that took you, mom and dad took me to a different one so that they would never find us both." Po and Viper looked at the goings on with a concerned look on their faces. seeing this he continues, "But i would prefer to explain this to you in private if thats alright." he then reaches inside his cloak the movement making everyone watching jump a moment but he merely pulls out an old photo and holds it up to her.

Tigress:

She scowls at him a moment but then quickly walks over to take the picture as she looks at it, her face instantly turning into a look of sadness, po notices the change and takes a couple steps to her, and puts his paw on her shoulder, also glancing down at the old photo. "we Should go inside tigress, perhaps this isn't the best place to talk." the panda says with care in his voice, but she shrugs off his paw and replies, "i don't have anything to talk about po, master please excuse me." as she walks towards the temple with the picture still held firmly in her paw.

Po:

Po looks to viper, " can you please go with her, and make sure she is ok?" he then walks over to takato, and offers him a paw, which he takes the panda pulling him up quickly, "well you look like you could get cleaned up a bit." he says trying to sound cheerful. Takato nodded and said more to himself, "I really didn't want it to go like this." Po smirked and patted him on the back, accidentally a bit too hard as he saw where he was looking, "don't worry she only needs some fresh air and a bit of time to think, i mean i wouldn't worry that you almost killed each other." The wolf looks up at him and sighs, "perhaps i should go for now." he begins to walk away slowly.

Shifu:

"Please stay, if you are really her brother it's an honor to have you here, and perhaps stay i don't believe that she would want to you to leave anyways, so please stay fellow master."

Takato:

He looked at him, and shook his head, "excuse me master shifu, but you should only call me Takato, i have no master title."

Shifu:

he smiled "but of course, i was only wondering because of the techniques you were using." he walks past him, "let us go and..." he flicks his ear as he hears the sound of po's stomach rumbling as he stops and glances back at them both, "so, lets go and get something to eat then?" he still has a smile on his face as he walks back to the Jade Palace. Po blushes a little bit as he says, "sorry, i couldn't help it."

Viper:

was having difficulty keeping up with tigress as she was almost running away, "Tigress! wait!" but she didn't stop as she kept running towards the village of peace.

Tigress:

yelled back at viper, "leave me alone viper! i'm okay!" she glanced behind her and noticed she wouldn't give up as she stopped at the bottom of the stairs the feline flattening her ears to her head as she shouted with anger, "VIPER for the last time GO."

Viper:

stopped in front of her calmness in her voice, "No Tigress, you are the most upset that ive ever seen you, and i understand it must be hard..." tigress cut her off as she began to shout.

Tigress:

NO Viper! you don't know! I'm an adult now, but in my childhood i thought about my family so much and wondering why they would give me to an orphanage, and wondering what happened! but now, i think he might be my brother alright but that was a long time ago, i shouldn't care now about what happened all those years ago." she let out a big sigh as she seemed to feel a bit better to get that off of her chest.

Viper:

nodded softly as she remained cool and calm for her, "Tigress your right, i don't understand what feelings you're having, none of us from the five could your the only one who does. Although i do want to know one thing, are you afraid of what this Takato has to say?"

Tigress:

She looked a bit more relaxed as she lowered her voice, the picture still held firmly in her paw, "i...i don't know viper really i don't" she looked down at the picture and sighed holding it out to her, "This is a picture, of mom, dad, me and HIM and we are both cubs." she looked a t the back, "even the date on the picture might be correct, it was taken in between the time i was born and the time i was given to the orphanage, and you can't really fake this." she looked at the ground her ears drooping, "He is my brother i know it, in the fight with him i felt like i knew him very close." she paused and looked up, "im just afraid if i talk to him, he seemed to know my parents a lot more than i did, i mean if my mother taught him his poor excuse for tiger style, but what if my parents did something bad and thats why they gave me...us up?" while they were talking mei ling the cat was walking to them, with the prepared herbs and drugs that she was taking up to the palace for master shifu.
{at the palace}

Shifu:

the Trio entered the dining hall, the both of them following shifu, he then turned around and looked at po, "Po would you do us the honors of making us some of your noodle soup?" Po looked excited and nodded energetically as he smashes his fists together, "of course master! Takato i swear you did never eat something so delicious, and it's the secret noodle soup of my dad's its AWESOME!" Shifu raises his voice a bit looking at the excited panda, "Po...Po....PO! Focus!" Po stops his babbling for a moment and nods, "of course master." Takato couldn't help but grin at the excitable panda.

Takato:

"so you are the dragon warrior? and the famous master shifu, its an honor for me to meet you i've heard stories about all of you from the jade palace halfway across china." Po pipes up from where he was chopping
vegetables looking back and not paying attention to what he was doing, "OH! half of China, WOW. What did you hear about about master shifu, OOH did you hear about how amazing i was by beating ty lung, i can't believe it ei....." shifu has a look of annoyance on his face, as he shouts, "Panda! focus" Po stopped and looked down at the vegetables, "right" and began to prepare the soup again.

Shifu:

"so you are an unusual breed of wolf, you not just the wolves we have around here. i would say by your markings i've only seen them in scrolls, and your shape, i would guess that you must be one of the emperor's
guardians." he studies the wolf to gauge his reaction.

Takato:

he looks off to the side a bit then back at shifu the wolf not believing how accurate he was, "you are very right with your theory, ...our father was a general in the high emperors army." Shifu nods in appreciation that he seemed to know information of the old times. "So master shifu, i'm guessing you never heard about the problems within the emperors city? You never heard what happened there?"

Shifu:

he looked solemn as he stared off out the window as he held his cane tighter, "I heard something about how the emperor's brother, and that mighty kung fu warriors were involved even the left hand of Buddha and some highly decorated generals, but i would never believe that tigress would be..." Po continued to work as he was clearly keeping an ear on the conversation.

Takato:

the wolf looked down and said with a bit of concern in his voice, "the left hand of buddha, xiao was her name...our mother." Shifu looked quite shocked, "She was one of the three strongest kung fu warriors ever known in China, besides the right hand of buddha and master Oogway she was the bodyguard of the emperor himself!" Takato looked very sad, the wolf having some tension in his voice, "shes gone... and I wish Tigress was here to talk about this." he began to tremble gently in anger, not at shifu but at the loss of his mother.

Shifu:

he speaks with calmness in his voice, as he trying to soothe the now upset wolf, "I'm sorry it was not my intention to upset you." as he thought to himself, about how unbelievable that he and tigress were involved in this political dilemma, and how he was going to have to look into this history otherwise it could be bad for everyone. he speaks again after being lost in thought a moment, "Takato you must take care of the fire that is now burning within you. it will lead..." he was cut off by the wolf, as he lifts his hand, "with all due respect master shifu but i am in no need of a lesson like I were one of your students, i don't need a lesson on how to control my feelings. The last person who tried to teach me with kind words ended up killing my father!" The wise shifu hears the stress in his voice as he shows how calm he was hoping it would work the same on takato, "I apologize for that I only want to make sure that you wouldn't ever fight at the level you both were earlier, at least not without me there." Takato relaxes a bit, "i promise it won't ever happen again, i was only trying to test her and see what she was capable of."

Po:

hops in to try and lighten the mood as he says cheerily, "so guys! the noodle soup is done, but be careful its hotter than the fire from mount Wu Lang!" he smiles and looks at Takato, "you want some bread to go with it?" the Wolf looked a bit confounded at the sudden change of mood as he looks at him, "uhm, no thanks but uh dragon warrior, can i ask you a question? are you and Tigress uh together? I mean i saw how you looked at one another." Po starts to turn bright red, and was shaking his head, "errr, no i don't know what you mean, but i'm not her boyfriend or anything i mean, we are um friends." The wolf grinned a bit at the reaction he got from him, "of course, you guys are just friends, i see." Master shifu at this point couldn't hold back his laughter, as he begins to eat his soup after po served it to them, and Po began to eat, but was completely silent, as he was lost in thought about what Takato said to him.
{Village of Peace}

Viper:

looked up and her and said in a calm voice, "oh my dear, i don't think he would come here to tell you something like that, we all know its hard for you to show your emotions, you put on a strong outer demeanor for us, but we all know they are still there, you just have to admit they are there and deal with them Tigress instead of keeping them inside, thats not the Tigress i know." Tigress looks at her for a long moment then nods, "You're right Viper, i should just go and listen to whatever he has to say i know it will be tough but I can deal with it." now full of Ambition began to walk back up the stairs until mei ling: comes up behind them, "master tigress, Viper! Good day to you both!" she runs a bit to catch up with them. Viper turns her head around to look at the approaching feline, "Ah mei ling nice to see you, are those the first aid that master shifu ordered?"

Mei Ling:

she didn't really get winded at all from the short sprint, and gave a cute little bow, "yes of course, i'm going to deliver it, and perhaps take you up on your offer to train at the jade palace with you, I've been very busy taking care of my mothers business that i can't make much time to train in kung fu." Tigress looked at her and saying simply, "well the training hall is yours today." as she turned around to take a few steps up the stairs. Mei ling then tilted her head and asked in a concerned voice, "did anything happen?" The tiger merely shook her head and looked up to the jade palace not saying a word, mei ling said in a cheery voice trying to lighten the mood, "oh my dear between us girls you know that you can tell me anything." Tigress looked at her and said, "my brother is here for a visit." mei ling looked stunned, almost so much that she took a step back and almost missed a stair to tumble down the dozen or so they already climbed, but viper grabbed her arm to keep her from falling, "careful mei" viper said. Mei ling did not respond to vipers helpful warning but instead looked at tigress, "I thought you didn't have any siblings Tigress. she replies back to the comment quickly preceded by a sigh, "yea me neither." she pauses , "master mei ling, i would appreciate that we didn't talk about this right now." mei ling nods solemnly, "i understand." but she was curious as to whom her brother was. Viper looked to tigress, "um tigress heres your picture." she looks at viper and takes it back, almost snatching it back. the trio then began to make their way up to the jade palace as the sun was to their west, in brilliant hues of color.
{back at the jade palace in the dining room}

Shifu:

as Po, Shifu, and Takato were finishing their soup crane and monkey walked into the room, crane looked around and said, "hello everyone, oooh noodle soup my favorite." monkey then stops as he sees the wolf spying him apprehensively. Shifu speaks to them, "ah master crane, and monkey." Shifu says a bit louder, "this is Takato, Tigress's brother." Monkey and Crane opened looked shocked, as Takato lowered his head trying to avoid looking at those expressions, he then says, "its..its an honor to meet master Crane and Monkey." immediately after the introductions, Tigress, Viper and Mei ling entered the dining room, shifu stands up and addresses mei lin, "ah is that the stuff i ordered?" she nodded and held it out, "yes master shifu got all you ordered." shifu looks at all of those in the room, "So everyone besides tigress, and Takato should leave now. They have a lot to talk about right now." Monkey looked a bit confused as he held up a finger, "but we didn't get any of the noodle soup." Crane shakes his head and jabs money in the side with his wingtip, "shut up and go monkey." monkey looked a bit annoyed but he nodded and left with crane, soon followed by mei lyn, viper, Shifu, and Po last.

Tigress:

"hold on po, i want you to stay." she spoke up as the panda blushed a bit, and remembering what Takato told him earlier, he sat back down, "of course Tigress, i mean that what i was going to do, and um finish my soup." he slurped up a spoonful and looked between Takato and Tigress nervously. Tigress took a deep breath and tossed the picture on the table, in front of them, "Takato, how old are you." He answers without hesitation, "I am thirty-two years old exactly five years older than you." Tigress snickered, "What are these their names?" she pointed to the picture. "he looked at the picture briefly, but he knew by heart whom they were, "Or mother was named Xian and our dad, Tsuyoshi" The tiger begins to breath faster, "They...They... and our other family, grandfather and grandmother?" her voice lowered as she grabbed the side of the table her claw tips sinking into the wood, as Po sat there and listened.

Takato:

The wolf finally answers her questions, "They." he closed his eyes and shook his head, "they are all gone, you and I we are the last left in our clan Tigress." his voice seemed to convey his sadness, "They are gone because they were betrayed from the Emperor's Brother, our whole family was. They were Murdered all for the sake of the worm that betrayed us." he starts to breath heavier, "can we go outside, i really need some fresh air." Tigress nodded seeing how upset he was, "of course, we can go outside." Po piped up and said, "how about we go to the peach tree?" he looked between them both, "it will be a nice quiet place to talk." Tigress nodded to him and lead the way, Po and Takato following her. Po gets to the peach tree and sits down in front of it, going into a meditating pose, as he takes a deep breath. Tigress looks up to the moon as they just enjoy the peaceful night time. Takato feels how cold it was and slowly pulls his cloak off his own shoulders to walk over to tigress throwing it around hers, at first she jumped and tried to push him away not hard, but just to try and get some space between them. Takato looks at her, "i'm sorry Tigress i didn't want..." he holds the cloak around her shoulders as she seemed to accept him so close.

Tigress:

"no I'm sorry, i'm not that familiar with...your kind, and you i know are, my brother, but well you feel like a stranger to me." Po tries to throws in, "yea dont worry Takato, last winter i tried to wrap my scarf around her and she hit me like ten times." Tigress blushes a bit and looks at Takato, "Well its not cold really, so that means you can take it back, it's your cloak."

Takato:

Takes a step back pulling the cloak off completely and holds in in his arms in front of him, "No...its not mine it's the cloak of our mother, and I'm willing to bet that she wants her to wear it." he looked down, "besides my hideout isn't very far away and I also have our father's cloak, so how about this you take care of Mother's cloak, and i will take care of Fathers." Tigress darts her eyes back and forth glancing at Po then gently takes the garment from his arms, and throws it around herself. she then sits next to po and looks at Takato, "so Takato take a seat, tell me, tell me everything." Takato smiled and sat in front of them both as he starts to tell the story of their dishonored parents, who were betrayed by the emperor's younger brother. The hours passed by as the sad story reflected on all of them, Takato and Tigress on the edge of tears. Po however wasn't so disciplined the story really getting to him, "how about we take a little break to get a breath." he said. Tigress nodded and took her cloak wrapping it around po's broad shoulders, wrapping around his back, as he wrapped his arm around her waist, the panda feeling his heart flutter as they held each other. Takato continued his story to them as the moon glanced upon them all, as the night took its course.

calmed down slightly happy that he corrected himself, and called her tigress. She was not one to show off as the fight was done, but for some reason she wanted to prove herself to this stranger. the tiger goes into a new fighting stance, taking deep breaths as she goes through the kat-tas to get into the end pose of the stance, "i'm sure you know what this stance is am i correct?"

Takato:

the wolf snickered, "yes, its the preparation to perform the claw of the tiger, a secret tiger-technique which can be very dangerous, possibly able to level buildings." he looks around, "i have a feeling we should take this one outside." he walks out the door, past the spot where po and viper had been watching the fight, the wolf thankful the dragon warrior and viper had not decided to hop into and interfere with their fight. tigress began to follow him outside leaving her stance, as she walks out po grabs her arm.

Po:

Grabbed her arm and looked into her eyes, his eyes filled with worry and whispers to her, "you aren't really going to do that technique are you? you have nothing to prove to this stranger and we don't even know who he is! we should tell master shifu about him tigress."

Tigress:

Puts a paw on his shoulder and giving him a gentle smile, "don't worry po, I don't think he means to hurt me, he could have done so earlier, but i think i do what to demonstrate to this takato what i'm capable of. She walks opposite of him on the training ground, standing in her own square on the other side of the open space. takato say out loudly for her to hear, "So can you fully control this technique you are about to show me?" he looks at her. she replied back ,"yes i can." she says with confidence back to him.

Viper:

puts her tail on po and saying to him, "po let her do this, she knows what she is doing, and besides if he pulls anything funny, i'm going to go and bind him." she says with a snakelike slither.

Takato:

He stands opposite of tigress, the wolf doing his own kata's going into the same pose that tigress was. "to be honest tigress, you are probably more skilled than I in the ways of kung-fu, and i am very impressed that you have mastered the secret moves you have displayed all on your own." he pauses a bit, "mom was the reason why I have learned these techniques so i had help, to answer you question about where i learned my moves from." his smile was gone as he talked of mother, the wolf thinking of her even in this tense moment. tigress did her own kata's getting prepared for the claw of the tiger again, as she goes into a ready pose, "well i look forward to talking after this, and i am honestly curious about your abilities as well." Po and viper kept watching, as they hear a familiar sound behind them, "master..."

Tigress:

as both of them began the final motions to put the technique into action, the air began to shift around them both as their arms began become covered in blue flames, tigress then shouted out, "READY!" followed a moment later by takato shouting, "READY!" although he left his stance first to expel the energy he had built up running towards tigress, as she did the same mirroring takatos movements. they both extended their paws in front of them, the flames taking shape of a giant claws as she ran right up on him, and looking in his eyes and for the first time realized, that he was truly her brother. In the instant of that realization she got a flashback of a wolf that looked just like takato but she could barely remember she was only a cub, it had to be him. tigress began to lower her paw, changing the direction of the energy so it would not impact him but not enough as it was still going to hit him, but not kill him. She had to redirect the pure chi, not able to stop it.

Takato:

Locked eyes with her as well, and seeing her change in demeanor, knowing something had changed right then and noticed that she lowered her arm to miss him, but he realized this too late, as he still had his arm directly at him, it was too late to change directions as he thought, i'm going to kill her, i just saw her again, and this is going to kill my sister what have i done!

Shifu:

Was running in, right after they started charging one another the two not noticing him as they were focused on one another. He was a bit surprised seeing both of them using the same technique on one another, but didn't have the opportunity to linger on it, as they were going to kill one another. shifu dropped his staff, as he hops into the middle of them, grabbing the wolf first by the shoulder with his right hand, and tigress with his left as he flips them both onto their backs, the expended energy going straight up into the sky where the two claws exploded in showers of blue light. po watched the whole fight, and couldn't help but say, "oooh, pretty fireworks." when this happened as he did not understand exactly how close they had both been to death.

Tigress:

got the wind knocked out of her as she was flipped straight on her back the explosion bright to her as she seemed to have another flashback, of her and a wolf cub playing in a grassy yard together in front of a small building, but it quickly faded as her chi was used up, and she passes out.

Takato:

after being flung on the ground, he quickly hops back up, his chi overloading as an image of a blue tiger appears around him and roars, as the wolf seemed dazed. Ah i used up too much chi, i'm losing control of it. shifu looks at him and goes into a ready stance seeing that me might not of been done, "stand down stranger!" he yells out. although as quickly as the tiger head appeared around takato, it dissipated as he dropped to a knee, and breathing quickly, "arrrrgh!" as he was barely able to stop his chi keeping it under control.

Shifu:

"Po, Viper! take care of Tigress!" they nodded and said loudly, "yes master!" as po walks over to check her vital signs, seeing that she was still alive, but just passed out. "she is fine viper but that was too close." the panda then looks at viper, "see if master shifu needs help, i dont trust this guy." he says with a stern expression, but shifu puts his paw up, "its not needed Viper, i don't think he can even walk right now." He approaches him, "i hope you can explain this and what happened here."

Takato:

He looked as shifu approached him as he says with harried breaths, "im, I didn't mean for it to happen that way, but i thank you so much for stopping me, otherwise i would've killed my sister." he starts to cough as he felt like passing out himself, "i..i used a lot of chi im very weak right now." his vision goes blurry a moment as he fights unconsciousness.

Shifu:

leaned over and looked at the canines eyes, seeing the same exact eyes that tigress has, could he really be her brother? "so stranger, tigress's brother you said? why are you..." shifu stops as he sees the wolf finally collapse hitting the ground, "or perhaps we will talk later, Viper bring some water, and Po bring tigress over here." which they both replied, "yes master."

Takato:

he looks at master shifu the wolf still dizzy but quickly regaining his strength as shifu pushes him down as he tries to get back up. "i will be ok in a couple minutes." he was suddenly hit with cold water from the bowl that viper brought which brought him to wake up a bit more. As master shifu took the bowl putting it to his mouth and forcing him to drink, he was too tired to fight the kind gesture.

Tigress:

She opened her eyes, the tiger also feeling quite dizzy as she looked up at po, "huh what? what happened?" Po still held her in his arms and said softly, "bringing you over here to master shifu and this wolf." she blushed a little bit as she noticed how po was looking at her, "hem, well i'm uh fine now you can put me down." he nods and gently puts her back on her feet, steadying her but as soon as he put her down she advanced on the strange wolf, "YOU! you're a liar! I KNOW i was put into the orphanage by two tigers, and you're a wolf! this can't be possible!" the tigress was seething in anger the wolf somewhat stunned from the outburst from her as she mutters under her breath, "he must be a liar, he can't be telling the truth" she was trying not to think about the feelings she was getting as she was fighting with him, trying to ignore them.

Takato:

Rises slightly and looks at tigress, the wolf no longer as aggressive as he was earlier as he speaks, "you weren't given to the orphanage by mom and dad, it was our grandfather and grandmother that took you, mom and dad took me to a different one so that they would never find us both." Po and Viper looked at the goings on with a concerned look on their faces. seeing this he continues, "But i would prefer to explain this to you in private if thats alright." he then reaches inside his cloak the movement making everyone watching jump a moment but he merely pulls out an old photo and holds it up to her.

Tigress:

She scowls at him a moment but then quickly walks over to take the picture as she looks at it, her face instantly turning into a look of sadness, po notices the change and takes a couple steps to her, and puts his paw on her shoulder, also glancing down at the old photo. "we Should go inside tigress, perhaps this isn't the best place to talk." the panda says with care in his voice, but she shrugs off his paw and replies, "i don't have anything to talk about po, master please excuse me." as she walks towards the temple with the picture still held firmly in her paw.

Po:

Po looks to viper, " can you please go with her, and make sure she is ok?" he then walks over to takato, and offers him a paw, which he takes the panda pulling him up quickly, "well you look like you could get cleaned up a bit." he says trying to sound cheerful. Takato nodded and said more to himself, "I really didn't want it to go like this." Po smirked and patted him on the back, accidentally a bit too hard as he saw where he was looking, "don't worry she only needs some fresh air and a bit of time to think, i mean i wouldn't worry that you almost killed each other." The wolf looks up at him and sighs, "perhaps i should go for now." he begins to walk away slowly.

Shifu:

"Please stay, if you are really her brother it's an honor to have you here, and perhaps stay i don't believe that she would want to you to leave anyways, so please stay fellow master."

Takato:

He looked at him, and shook his head, "excuse me master shifu, but you should only call me Takato, i have no master title."

Shifu:

he smiled "but of course, i was only wondering because of the techniques you were using." he walks past him, "let us go and..." he flicks his ear as he hears the sound of po's stomach rumbling as he stops and glances back at them both, "so, lets go and get something to eat then?" he still has a smile on his face as he walks back to the Jade Palace. Po blushes a little bit as he says, "sorry, i couldn't help it."

Viper:

was having difficulty keeping up with tigress as she was almost running away, "Tigress! wait!" but she didn't stop as she kept running towards the village of peace.

Tigress:

yelled back at viper, "leave me alone viper! i'm okay!" she glanced behind her and noticed she wouldn't give up as she stopped at the bottom of the stairs the feline flattening her ears to her head as she shouted with anger, "VIPER for the last time GO."

Viper:

stopped in front of her calmness in her voice, "No Tigress, you are the most upset that ive ever seen you, and i understand it must be hard..." tigress cut her off as she began to shout.

Tigress:

NO Viper! you don't know! I'm an adult now, but in my childhood i thought about my family so much and wondering why they would give me to an orphanage, and wondering what happened! but now, i think he might be my brother alright but that was a long time ago, i shouldn't care now about what happened all those years ago." she let out a big sigh as she seemed to feel a bit better to get that off of her chest.

Viper:

nodded softly as she remained cool and calm for her, "Tigress your right, i don't understand what feelings you're having, none of us from the five could your the only one who does. Although i do want to know one thing, are you afraid of what this Takato has to say?"

Tigress:

She looked a bit more relaxed as she lowered her voice, the picture still held firmly in her paw, "i...i don't know viper really i don't" she looked down at the picture and sighed holding it out to her, "This is a picture, of mom, dad, me and HIM and we are both cubs." she looked a t the back, "even the date on the picture might be correct, it was taken in between the time i was born and the time i was given to the orphanage, and you can't really fake this." she looked at the ground her ears drooping, "He is my brother i know it, in the fight with him i felt like i knew him very close." she paused and looked up, "im just afraid if i talk to him, he seemed to know my parents a lot more than i did, i mean if my mother taught him his poor excuse for tiger style, but what if my parents did something bad and thats why they gave me...us up?" while they were talking mei ling the cat was walking to them, with the prepared herbs and drugs that she was taking up to the palace for master shifu.
{at the palace}

Shifu:

the Trio entered the dining hall, the both of them following shifu, he then turned around and looked at po, "Po would you do us the honors of making us some of your noodle soup?" Po looked excited and nodded energetically as he smashes his fists together, "of course master! Takato i swear you did never eat something so delicious, and it's the secret noodle soup of my dad's its AWESOME!" Shifu raises his voice a bit looking at the excited panda, "Po...Po....PO! Focus!" Po stops his babbling for a moment and nods, "of course master." Takato couldn't help but grin at the excitable panda.

Takato:

"so you are the dragon warrior? and the famous master shifu, its an honor for me to meet you i've heard stories about all of you from the jade palace halfway across china." Po pipes up from where he was chopping
vegetables looking back and not paying attention to what he was doing, "OH! half of China, WOW. What did you hear about about master shifu, OOH did you hear about how amazing i was by beating ty lung, i can't believe it ei....." shifu has a look of annoyance on his face, as he shouts, "Panda! focus" Po stopped and looked down at the vegetables, "right" and began to prepare the soup again.

Shifu:

"so you are an unusual breed of wolf, you not just the wolves we have around here. i would say by your markings i've only seen them in scrolls, and your shape, i would guess that you must be one of the emperor's
guardians." he studies the wolf to gauge his reaction.

Takato:

he looks off to the side a bit then back at shifu the wolf not believing how accurate he was, "you are very right with your theory, ...our father was a general in the high emperors army." Shifu nods in appreciation that he seemed to know information of the old times. "So master shifu, i'm guessing you never heard about the problems within the emperors city? You never heard what happened there?"

Shifu:

he looked solemn as he stared off out the window as he held his cane tighter, "I heard something about how the emperor's brother, and that mighty kung fu warriors were involved even the left hand of Buddha and some highly decorated generals, but i would never believe that tigress would be..." Po continued to work as he was clearly keeping an ear on the conversation.

Takato:

the wolf looked down and said with a bit of concern in his voice, "the left hand of buddha, xiao was her name...our mother." Shifu looked quite shocked, "She was one of the three strongest kung fu warriors ever known in China, besides the right hand of buddha and master Oogway she was the bodyguard of the emperor himself!" Takato looked very sad, the wolf having some tension in his voice, "shes gone... and I wish Tigress was here to talk about this." he began to tremble gently in anger, not at shifu but at the loss of his mother.

Shifu:

he speaks with calmness in his voice, as he trying to soothe the now upset wolf, "I'm sorry it was not my intention to upset you." as he thought to himself, about how unbelievable that he and tigress were involved in this political dilemma, and how he was going to have to look into this history otherwise it could be bad for everyone. he speaks again after being lost in thought a moment, "Takato you must take care of the fire that is now burning within you. it will lead..." he was cut off by the wolf, as he lifts his hand, "with all due respect master shifu but i am in no need of a lesson like I were one of your students, i don't need a lesson on how to control my feelings. The last person who tried to teach me with kind words ended up killing my father!" The wise shifu hears the stress in his voice as he shows how calm he was hoping it would work the same on takato, "I apologize for that I only want to make sure that you wouldn't ever fight at the level you both were earlier, at least not without me there." Takato relaxes a bit, "i promise it won't ever happen again, i was only trying to test her and see what she was capable of."

Po:

hops in to try and lighten the mood as he says cheerily, "so guys! the noodle soup is done, but be careful its hotter than the fire from mount Wu Lang!" he smiles and looks at Takato, "you want some bread to go with it?" the Wolf looked a bit confounded at the sudden change of mood as he looks at him, "uhm, no thanks but uh dragon warrior, can i ask you a question? are you and Tigress uh together? I mean i saw how you looked at one another." Po starts to turn bright red, and was shaking his head, "errr, no i don't know what you mean, but i'm not her boyfriend or anything i mean, we are um friends." The wolf grinned a bit at the reaction he got from him, "of course, you guys are just friends, i see." Master shifu at this point couldn't hold back his laughter, as he begins to eat his soup after po served it to them, and Po began to eat, but was completely silent, as he was lost in thought about what Takato said to him.
{Village of Peace}

Viper:

looked up and her and said in a calm voice, "oh my dear, i don't think he would come here to tell you something like that, we all know its hard for you to show your emotions, you put on a strong outer demeanor for us, but we all know they are still there, you just have to admit they are there and deal with them Tigress instead of keeping them inside, thats not the Tigress i know." Tigress looks at her for a long moment then nods, "You're right Viper, i should just go and listen to whatever he has to say i know it will be tough but I can deal with it." now full of Ambition began to walk back up the stairs until mei ling: comes up behind them, "master tigress, Viper! Good day to you both!" she runs a bit to catch up with them. Viper turns her head around to look at the approaching feline, "Ah mei ling nice to see you, are those the first aid that master shifu ordered?"

Mei Ling:

she didn't really get winded at all from the short sprint, and gave a cute little bow, "yes of course, i'm going to deliver it, and perhaps take you up on your offer to train at the jade palace with you, I've been very busy taking care of my mothers business that i can't make much time to train in kung fu." Tigress looked at her and saying simply, "well the training hall is yours today." as she turned around to take a few steps up the stairs. Mei ling then tilted her head and asked in a concerned voice, "did anything happen?" The tiger merely shook her head and looked up to the jade palace not saying a word, mei ling said in a cheery voice trying to lighten the mood, "oh my dear between us girls you know that you can tell me anything." Tigress looked at her and said, "my brother is here for a visit." mei ling looked stunned, almost so much that she took a step back and almost missed a stair to tumble down the dozen or so they already climbed, but viper grabbed her arm to keep her from falling, "careful mei" viper said. Mei ling did not respond to vipers helpful warning but instead looked at tigress, "I thought you didn't have any siblings Tigress. she replies back to the comment quickly preceded by a sigh, "yea me neither." she pauses , "master mei ling, i would appreciate that we didn't talk about this right now." mei ling nods solemnly, "i understand." but she was curious as to whom her brother was. Viper looked to tigress, "um tigress heres your picture." she looks at viper and takes it back, almost snatching it back. the trio then began to make their way up to the jade palace as the sun was to their west, in brilliant hues of color.
{back at the jade palace in the dining room}

Shifu:

as Po, Shifu, and Takato were finishing their soup crane and monkey walked into the room, crane looked around and said, "hello everyone, oooh noodle soup my favorite." monkey then stops as he sees the wolf spying him apprehensively. Shifu speaks to them, "ah master crane, and monkey." Shifu says a bit louder, "this is Takato, Tigress's brother." Monkey and Crane opened looked shocked, as Takato lowered his head trying to avoid looking at those expressions, he then says, "its..its an honor to meet master Crane and Monkey." immediately after the introductions, Tigress, Viper and Mei ling entered the dining room, shifu stands up and addresses mei lin, "ah is that the stuff i ordered?" she nodded and held it out, "yes master shifu got all you ordered." shifu looks at all of those in the room, "So everyone besides tigress, and Takato should leave now. They have a lot to talk about right now." Monkey looked a bit confused as he held up a finger, "but we didn't get any of the noodle soup." Crane shakes his head and jabs money in the side with his wingtip, "shut up and go monkey." monkey looked a bit annoyed but he nodded and left with crane, soon followed by mei lyn, viper, Shifu, and Po last.

Tigress:

"hold on po, i want you to stay." she spoke up as the panda blushed a bit, and remembering what Takato told him earlier, he sat back down, "of course Tigress, i mean that what i was going to do, and um finish my soup." he slurped up a spoonful and looked between Takato and Tigress nervously. Tigress took a deep breath and tossed the picture on the table, in front of them, "Takato, how old are you." He answers without hesitation, "I am thirty-two years old exactly five years older than you." Tigress snickered, "What are these their names?" she pointed to the picture. "he looked at the picture briefly, but he knew by heart whom they were, "Or mother was named Xian and our dad, Tsuyoshi" The tiger begins to breath faster, "They...They... and our other family, grandfather and grandmother?" her voice lowered as she grabbed the side of the table her claw tips sinking into the wood, as Po sat there and listened.

Takato:

The wolf finally answers her questions, "They." he closed his eyes and shook his head, "they are all gone, you and I we are the last left in our clan Tigress." his voice seemed to convey his sadness, "They are gone because they were betrayed from the Emperor's Brother, our whole family was. They were Murdered all for the sake of the worm that betrayed us." he starts to breath heavier, "can we go outside, i really need some fresh air." Tigress nodded seeing how upset he was, "of course, we can go outside." Po piped up and said, "how about we go to the peach tree?" he looked between them both, "it will be a nice quiet place to talk." Tigress nodded to him and lead the way, Po and Takato following her. Po gets to the peach tree and sits down in front of it, going into a meditating pose, as he takes a deep breath. Tigress looks up to the moon as they just enjoy the peaceful night time. Takato feels how cold it was and slowly pulls his cloak off his own shoulders to walk over to tigress throwing it around hers, at first she jumped and tried to push him away not hard, but just to try and get some space between them. Takato looks at her, "i'm sorry Tigress i didn't want..." he holds the cloak around her shoulders as she seemed to accept him so close.

Tigress:

"no I'm sorry, i'm not that familiar with...your kind, and you i know are, my brother, but well you feel like a stranger to me." Po tries to throws in, "yea dont worry Takato, last winter i tried to wrap my scarf around her and she hit me like ten times." Tigress blushes a bit and looks at Takato, "Well its not cold really, so that means you can take it back, it's your cloak."

Takato:

Takes a step back pulling the cloak off completely and holds in in his arms in front of him, "No...its not mine it's the cloak of our mother, and I'm willing to bet that she wants her to wear it." he looked down, "besides my hideout isn't very far away and I also have our father's cloak, so how about this you take care of Mother's cloak, and i will take care of Fathers." Tigress darts her eyes back and forth glancing at Po then gently takes the garment from his arms, and throws it around herself. she then sits next to po and looks at Takato, "so Takato take a seat, tell me, tell me everything." Takato smiled and sat in front of them both as he starts to tell the story of their dishonored parents, who were betrayed by the emperor's younger brother. The hours passed by as the sad story reflected on all of them, Takato and Tigress on the edge of tears. Po however wasn't so disciplined the story really getting to him, "how about we take a little break to get a breath." he said. Tigress nodded and took her cloak wrapping it around po's broad shoulders, wrapping around his back, as he wrapped his arm around her waist, the panda feeling his heart flutter as they held each other. Takato continued his story to them as the moon glanced upon them all, as the night took its course.
