Okay, so is there any way to get a deeper shaded version of this onto my laptop? I tried using my scanner and my phone, and neither show how it's actually shaded. The scanner (that did this picture) made it look very washed out, and erased a lot of the shading. The camera made it too dark and saturated and also made it look very grainy.Any input would be very much appreciated.
Another piece I found in my sketchbook.
The shading is WAY more complex and richer than this crappy picture above.

I don't know how I missed this, but your shading (even without this depth you say is missing) looks incredibly soft and delicate!
What I suggest is Photoshop CS6's "auto tone." Or er maybe it has another name? I use it for my traditional pieces and it's amazing--all I need to do is auto tone and then it's perfect. If you don't have PSCS6 I would gladly run something of yours through it if you need.

Sadly, I lost photoshop with the death of my old laptop haha, but I'll look into it

I managed to get the shading to show up a bit better in a new file I uploaded, so that helped it a little.
