Probably because unlike Mechagodzilla, Titanosaurus is a living creature that doesnβt have an switch they can turn off whenever they donβt want him wandering off and causing unnecessary destruction (at least not until they say so).
That was actually something that ended up happening in Terror of Mechagodzilla.

Indeed, Titanosaurus was actually described as being a peaceful and gentle creature by nature. He only acted the way he did and caused all the destruction in the film because he was under mind control.Β
Even after the aliens were defeated and having seemingly been freed from their mind-control, TitanosaurusΒ was still attacked by Godzilla who blasted him repeatedly with his atomic breath. Eventually knocking Titanosaurus out cold and causing him to fall off a cliff into the sea below. His fate ultimately being left unknown.Β

This is an awesome picture. Titanosaurus doesn't get enough love as he should despite being an awesome looking monster.

Not only is his appearance rather unique. In "Terror of MechaGodzilla" Titanosaurus is shown to be on equal footing to Godzilla in terms of physical strength.
