A giant question mark. I had no idea that your water was so much smoother than ours. Yours being from the G. S. Ocean I thought would be thunderous all the time. Light on the rocks is gorgeous!

used a nd filter so i could have long exposures to smooth the water out so i didn't get ghosting with the hdr.

Ah. The ubiquitous HDR (which I do not understand)
As a favour to me will you sometimes do an HDR_less landscape just so I can relate, please. Your cat wasn't HDR, was it?

Thanks No SOAP! I have looked into it but I just do not like the results i see. My eyes somehow reject the image as being to harsh, sharp and too unreal. I am just not suited to anything that does not carry a bit of bland! Maybe I will grow into it.!

Not tring to deny you the right to your opinion but how "unreal" someone makes a hdr image appear is pretty much up to them and not the process itself. [link]
