About time I finished this... I drew this picture way back in the middle of my sophomore year. (It's actually the picture that inspired me to develop CONNECTED.) After becoming a blackbelt, I met up with an old friend of mine whom I hadn't spoken to in a really long time. Then some crazy (unrelated) stuff happened... and I ended up drawing this picture.

See the little guy with brown hair? That's him. He's probably just about the coolest little kid EVER xD. He left my Taekwondo school a while back, so I haven't seen him in a really, really long time (and probably won't ever see him again).

For a while now, I'd say I'd pretty much have forgotten about him. But coming back to finish up this pic breathed some new life into faded memories--especially the part in the bottom-left corner. The old demo uniforms, that gold notebook he used to watch me draw in all the time... everything's just like I remember it.

Let me tell you though: drawing those old demo uniforms was ANNOYING AS HECK. And the fact that we happened to be green/green-blue belts when we did that nanchaku form makes them look ridiculous! It's not like they weren't overloaded with colors already! xD

Oh, and check out the background. That was pretty much me scribbling all over the screen and then throwing a sunburst effect to create an explosion of prettiness . Main reason why I made the background, though, was because I was getting sick of coloring in those uniforms... and also because those uniforms, without the background, seemed to be throwing the picture's colors off balance.
