Mojo-Jojo is a mutant chimpanzee mad scientist and one of the Powerpuff Girls' archenemy, residing in Volcano Lair within Townsville. Originally as Jojo the hyperactive chimpanzee in Professor Utonium's lab, he was partially responsible for the creation of the Powerpuff Girls by pushing Prof. Utonium towards the container of Chemical X, causing it to break and spill into the concoction. This resulted in an explosion, which caused his DNA to mutate, turning his skin green and causing his intelligence and brain to enlarge, growing out of his skull. But knowing how his new appearance can revolt the townspeople, he hid away himself but managed to manipulate the lost three girls to built his lair to take over the Townsville. Despite the defeat, Mojo-Jojo was the most persistent in determination on defeating Powerpuff Girls and continue his villainy.

Currently, although his "sons" RowdyRuff Boys allied with he girls, the reason why he continue his villainy is because it is his way to spend time with them, even watching them with pride when the boys won in their battle or defeat the other criminals in their own way (considering how the government in Townsville doesn't help much with their "neutral and weakly-effecting justice"). When directly fighting, he uses his multi-abilities staff that can enlarge, shorten, increase it's weight, or release the elements of fire, electricities or ice. Later, it is revealed he has heavy business relationship with Dick Hardly, exchanging the technologies helping the blond professor to keep up with Chemical CX children's power and strength.
