My sweetie and I were getting ready to go out one evening when I was faced with this amazing sight. She was kind enough to put the breaks on getting dressed for a minute while I made a quick sketch. I finished the illustration the next day. Thanks, hon!Hand drawn and vector colored in Adobe Illustrator.

Great art work! You brought together two of my favorite things. Vectors and... well. This is really well done. You kept to some of the strengths of vector. This reminds me of my youth and my fathers girly magazine comics. I was more interested in this wonderful artwork than the photography. I haven't studied any illustrations in this style, lately, but I think the hand isn't as strong as the rest of the illustration. The line separating the thumb and the palm may be the reason for my problem. I took the liberty of making the hand without the line and I didn't like the thumb sticking out so, I tried it without the thumb (laying the palm directly on the knee) and I think that may work?
Really my ideas are just that, ideas. You have created a wonderful piece of art work, just as it is. The color choices are perfectly, lively, fun and a little exciting. You are an inspiring artist. Thank you for sharing your art.
