I'll give you that - the hat is very Japanese (vs what could have been a Chinese/Korean hat)

Its actually a chinese crop cutting hat used to shielf from the sun. Its been adopted by other asian countries, for instance it has been seen in naruto worn by itachi

The typical Chinese hat is the one worn together with the Cheong Sams... I haven't seen any info yet though that puts the crop cutting hat coming directly from China though, I'll look into that ^_^

I was under that impression as I have seen documentaries about china and their agriculture and they still use them today. I havent seen them in any other asian country. I could be wrong though, if you find that I am do let me know

The hat is brilliant and the colour of the attire overall creates contrast that is noticeable, original and utterly captivating. The almost shining background also seems to emphasise a sense of the ethereal and supernatural. I really do like this, even if you claim it as unfinished.
