-shakes ds- EVERY TIME... STUPID GIRATINA. I paralyze it and then keep throwing ultra balls(its all I really have -master ball) until it starts using struggle...then it its paralyzed and weak... i throw a ball... ALMOST catch but NOOOOOOO it pops out like a motha fucka and... and fuckin kills itself...
IS IT SO BAD TO BE WITH ME GIRATINA?! HMM... HMMMMM
IT WAS FUN THE FIRST ewripturweptyetrh million times I started over... but STAY IN THE DAMN BALL NOW...

Paralyzed... threw ONE ultra ball... and he stayed... YAY... -glee glee-

Your best bet would have been dusk balls with sleep status, only because the normal attack false swipe doesn't exactly work on ghosts, you can't be sure health is 1.
This is all because of the catch rate equation.
(3Xmax health-2Xcurrent health)X ball bonus X Catch rate. Then divide by 3X max health. And then multiply by status (sleep and frozen 2X, anything else is 1.5)
Excluding five or so of the legendaries, the typical catch rate is 3. Adding the dusk ball (due to cave location) the multiplier is 3.5X, plus sleep would be 2X
Using the equation, your highest catch rate is about 20%

Effectively the exact same thing happened to me, but in my case it was the *insert long diatribe of swearwords here* Hiidoran.
I so utterly know the feeling -`c-;.
Pokemon who are asleep/frozen/paralysed (moreso the first two, as they have a higher effect on the capture calculation) who have less than 10 HP left have NO RIGHT to be escaping from the pokeballs... T`mT* NO RIGHT!
By the end you just want to strangle them.

Same thing happened to me 5 times. <.< With my Luxray out, with Giratina at like...4HP...and after 30 pokeballs later...he'd use struggle and kill himself. And every time that happened I thought of you...and this comic. -_-

Ahah, he is such a bitch to catch. I had to restart so many times because I kept killing him. In the end, I finally caught him, called him Deathzilla and put him in a box with the cutest little pokemon I had. He shall stay there and rot in the candyfluff.

Then again, I kept my Master Ball. I was smart enough to do that in Platinum because in FireRed, I blew it on a Snorlax just to say I used it. Durr hurr furr.
