Just a small sketch i did of anthro me, drawing.How the character is sitting is how I susually sit when i draw xD

The pose may be more suitable for drawing than you think. Not only does it provide a flat, semi-hard surface upon which to rest your drawing paper or another hard surface like a book, it also positions your butt in a manner that allows you to pass gas with minimal interruption to drawing.

Well it suits me great xD I hate having to tilt my head down to draw, it kills my neck after an hour or so.

I rarely have to deal with that problem, primarily because I have a hard time convincing myself to sit down and draw something (since I have low faith in my ability to draw anything recognizable X3). Any tips on how to get motivated to draw?

Often times i search things i like, see others peoples' art. Most of the time that gets me wanting to get as good as them. Or try drawing.. say my fav character from a show or something.
I get motivated a lot by something better than my own. Whether it's how someone drew my character, or how they speak. It could be anything.

In my case, that sort of experience brings about the opposite result. I look at people whose art is better than mine and think "Well, they've already got a head start on you, so you might as well not try." I keep trying to rationalize this in my mind by saying that my talent lies elsewhere, but I haven't found any area yet where I do appear to stand above the crowd. Does that make sense?

I guess it does. I used to feel that way, i used to feel like i couldn't compare to what others can do. I still do, feel like.. lower.
But you really don't need to be better, if you keep trying you can at least get AS good as them. Everyone has a unique style, it depends on what attracts people. Some people like anthro, some don't. Some people like.. animals or something. OR some people only like Traditional art.
Drawing is about the only thing i'm good at though, perhaps talking.
I also get motivated when i watch Anime, i love animes. They always make me happy.

I seem to be a jack-of-all-trades, which means I'm not good enough in any one area to attract large numbers of people. If I had to pick something I'm good at, it'd be writing fan fiction. But even still, that isn't drawing in people.

It's in the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom. Specifically, it's fan fiction about one of the official-character couplings I support. But I try to write them in ways that can appeal to general fans.

I've actually written several fan fictions, one of which is a trilogy of stories surrounding Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose, and the other is a more generalized fan fiction to appeal to general Sonic fans.
