This is a remake of a piece I did back in 2003 when I was only 13 years old. Here's the improvement image:

It was my favorite image I drew when I was younger. I was inspired by many things at the time, especially Final Fantasy X. It's only fitting then that this is my favorite image I've done lately, probably through my whole college career. It's been since August that I last got to work on some actual, personal art, so I felt a little rusty. But I love the outcome and am quite proud. I actually haven't felt this sense of pride in my art in a while - it's refreshing~
Originally she was colored with blues and greens and was placed in a lotus pond. Funny how a piece of art's vision can change so much. It’s always nice to stop and see how far you've come and remember to appreciate the progress you've made. A lot of people see their old art and go, “Eww, burn it!” but not me - I see my old art and go, “Hello, old friend. I still love you, but let’s see what we can do to improve you.” ♥
