He's barefoot because he needs to keep in touch with the Earth. Easiest way to do that is to walk on Her. I'm sure he does barefoot running in order to keep up with his crazy assed pack.

Someone wrote a one-shot on this the reason Stiles was missing his shoes was because he was trying to stall.

My theory for barefooted Stiles is because they caught him while he was running away from peoples wanting to kill him, because he is good at that, and lost them in the run.

fairly certain he's barefoot because mafia stiles or 'the spark' is known for always having an alphabet's worth of plans and even just for a line up they didn't want to risk he had smuggled something in his shoes.
um or not lol
if that were the case they should have known the lock pickin his shoe was only plan C, plan D is the lock pick he hid in derek's lapel.
(not that any of it matters because claudia stilinski is the puppet master and married to the sheriff)
