Details are awesome. I think I have a weakness when it comes to patterns though. That and backgrounds. Haha.

Yes. I have a random attraction to deviantart links in signatures. XD I don't always click them, but I do a lot. I'm also a lurker. Haha. I have been trying to give my thoughts on LSF more often though. And thank you for the watch as well! ^-

Are you still working on the game I saw in your gallery? It looks interesting. I'm sorry to hear that the menu image was lost. I looked really fancy too. D8

Oh backgrounds! My old nemesis! ;__;

Well I lurk too, sometimes trying to give feedback for the works in progress and already completed stuff. Other than that it's more and more difficult to de-lurk for me on LSF, because I was there for a long time and never completed anything. Wall of shame.

This shame was and still is this reeeeally old project that you mentioned, I even had WIP thread of it. It all got canceled because it was collaboration with my old friend, and when we had some stupid fight, our paths parted and I couldn't do it by myself, it was her story and her characters after all, and I was just an artist. But! Recently we made peace and decided we will do it over in the future, since we both feel bad about it.

Right now I'm mostly working on my own project, there's not much to show yet. Well this - [link] There's concept and a brief description.
The artwork is old though, so it will change, because my style changed a bit.
Now it's more like this (still working on it, should be something like a poster to the game I think?) - [link]

How about you, do you work on anything right now? C:

I just realized I didn't hit the reply button last time. OTL

I'm still pretty new, so I think I'm safe from the wall of shame...for now. Haha. Once you get a project out there, I think that wall will buckle pretty fast though.

That stinks, but at least you two made peace.
Cold hands looks really interesting! Your art style did change! And the fact that you have a message in it makes it even more so. I can imagine that working in intensive care would be quite an eye opener. I don't have anything near a life threatening condition, but somehow as I grew up with my hypothyroid I imagined sitting in a hospital with something more serious... It's certainly not a happy thought.

Oh boy. I have a few things going on. I've downgraded to simple projects for now. Once upon a time a friend and I were working on a long project called Andel Teivel. [link] but decided that we should put it on hold and start with a small project to get used to working together and actually finish something.
We literally came up with a random plot and decided on a number of characters. It ended up turning into this - [link] Unfortunately life is busy, so progress is slow.

I recently decided to draw pictures for a random project I made in a couple of hours when I was half awake - [link] Just for the sake of finishing something. I'm the only one working on this one, and it's all about tripping over a rock and what you do about it. Really random... (And the rock is the start button. lol)
That's about it.

Aha-ha-ha, that's okay.

Well basically my own wall of shame consists of that old project not ever getting finished, despite being POSTED on the forums and well, it's really not nice to lead people on, when they give you ideas and support. So no way I'm starting a new WIP thread until I have reasonable amount of work completed.
If you don't end up like me - there's nothing really to be afraid of! LSF is a really nice place, with lots of helpful and supportive people, so noone is going to judge you.

Yeah, we didn't spoke for a year, and then we suddenly met and realized how stupid we were. Me are friends for 14 years already and this amount of time forms certain connection to a person. No matter what differences, we just can't get rid of each other. So hopefully "Thousand doors" will be completed in the future.

I'm glad you like the idea! I was worried that other people will find the story... unsettling, weird, disgusting. After all med students have different standards for normal, so my non-med friends find many things I tell about studies creepy or plain weird. Also I'm kind of projecting many my insecurities on the protagonist, many problems doctors face. Like screwing up, like having fear to cause pain even for a good reason, many-many ethical dilemmas.
Growing up with hypothyroid sucks, I know that. Had a mild case in childhood as well.
I'm glad you understood the message ^^

About downgrading to small projects - I know that feel! Well you have to start with something, right? Something relatively easy, to get this feeling of accomplishment, that you can DO it! And then to move onto something more big and serious.
The story about rose sounds really nice! It already gives me this warm and kind feeling, so I really would like to see what comes out of it in the end. C: An you've already done good amount of work on it too, so my kudos to you guys, you are great. I'll be stalking a thread from now on.

xDD and ha-ha, this rock and flying squirrel, what's going on?))
Please, please, do release this soon!

LSF really is a great place. I'm happy to have joined. I hope everything goes well for you and your projects. Hopefully one day you can finish that WIP thread for good. Bonds are certainly an interesting thing. I've also come to the same conclusion and decided not to post anymore threads until I've finished a decent amount.

I'm sure plenty of people will find Cold Hands interesting, med student or not. I have been interested in the medical field for a long time, but I know that it's not the job for me. The thought of holding a person's life or health that affects that life in my hands is not something I'm sure I could deal with. I considered a vet for a while, but decided against that as well.

Haha. Thank you! I'm happy to hear you like it so far. Hopefully we can keep updating at decent times, but working with a team when we're all busy takes some time. And our goal is to keep the project relaxed and not stress out on it.

XD The other one shouldn't take too long in theory, since I'm just doing CG's for it and it's done. It is a really dorky, nonsense game. Part of the reason I made it was to cheer up a friend.

I cannot say enough words to express how much LSF inspire me. Even in lurking mode C:
Hopefully we can achieve our goals!))) This is a lot of work, but it's rewarding, seeing your creations come to life.

Oh, that's a relief. Thank you. Thant's good to know, I was really concerned))

Yeah, what I meant, stories like this have some charm and appeal to them. They seem so simple and yet inspire a lot of positive thoughts, you feel like "yes, I should go and do something good for other people". But that's just my impression based off description :3 Take your time with this project, but I sure hope to see it in some time.
Novels made for friends/kids/students are the best C: There are some on LSF and I adore them, because you just can feel that they are made with love)

Ah, also I forgot to mention, but I'm glad that you also liked "Terminal Love", not many people are into that sort of visual novel/text adventures these days. I immensely love them, so I'm happy to know there are people who make games like these and share my interests C:

....
Oh, and I don't know if you played this, but there's a game called "Hierofania" by
If you didn't already, try it out, it's worth the time. Time passes and I'm still deeply impressed and inspired by this game.
/end rant

One reason why I'm really interested and amazed by visual novels is that anyone can get out there and create something great with them. You don't have to work with a giant game company or buy expensive things to produce something and you have free reign, can get experience, and can get feedback from everyone.

I like to see variety in games, and I've found a lot of different ones that I'm interested in. And of course, a game doesn't have to have epic art or be about something super fantasy to be amazing. If novels or poetry needed art, I don't know where the world would be. Haha. I liked the depth in Terminal Love and how much work was put into it.

Oh! I will definitely play it! I love to find games that I haven't played yet. Thank you for recommending it! ^-^

Nimuell In reply to FeatherSnek [2012-08-27 21:11:16 +0000 UTC]

Yes, that's exactly it))
Visual novels are funny this way. You really want to see good/original art and design in the game, but without good written story they are empty. And at the same time even the novels with no/simple art but great writing grow on me as I start the reading.
Still nice art is nice. I aim for quality in this regard.

Yay))) This game, I can't recommend it enough, there's wonderful writing and music, intriguing story and really unusual but really attractive art style that fits the story perfectly))) Tell me what you think of it once you play :>

FeatherSnek In reply to Nimuell [2012-08-28 01:36:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. I guess the ultimate dream goal would be to make a well balanced game with good art, story, coding, and sound. Haha. Of course certain games have a specific style that works for them. It's all in the hands of the creator(s).

You were absolutely correct. That is an amazing game! I love things with that type of mood. I guess I love a lot of things. Haha. Certain moods really catch my attention though. The art style was amazing and was indeed perfect for the game. The music also of course. 8D The story was very interesting on every branch and I'm glad I managed to get all of the endings. I find myself thinking that if most visual novels I played were real, my life wouldn't be so great. XD A lot of times I end up with a bad or not so great ending on my first play through. Anyways, it was a great game! Thank you for telling me about it. Ludeshka is very talented. And in a little bit, I will probably go over there and tell her so and browse her work. I am happy to hear that she seems to be working on a sequel though.

Sorry for spamming your picture with these comments. I feel bad. ^-^;; It is great talking to you. If you want, we can continue to talk on LSF's private messages or on DA's notes.

Yay, I'm glad you liked it, because I hold this game in very high regard))) I ended up with true ending on my first play, but yeah, things look pretty grim for characters and for the world 8)

Ha-ha, that's no problem, I don't mind spamming.
Yeah, I would very much like that! PM me at LSF at any time))

All of your art is so amazing and cute. 8D I love the little details in this one, such as the masks and the horns.
Sorry for the fav dump with so little commenting. DX I'm pathetic when it comes to comments, but I love your style. ^-^

A-ha-ha, thanks!)) A little bit too cute for my tastes, but it's not intentional ><
I love details! Especially really tiny things and patterns, this drawing is a little bit plain in that respect.

Thanks for the watch and faves and kind words about my drawings!
I know this feel, I'm more of a lurker myself C: So thank you for saying out loud what you had in mind))

Also I recognized your icon, you're from LSF, right? Awesome!
