I am absolutely thrilled with this photo!I took this Easter morning and it is my first sunrise photo (I'm not great at early mornings XD ). I was lucky there were nice clouds and colors to make the photo pop! This shoot has definitely gotten me interested in more landscape (sunrise/sunset) photography.

what a beautiful landscape! I love how the composition of this piece uses the structure to draw your eyes to the soft mountains in the distance - my eye then follows them towards the center of the picture & all the gorgeous colors of the sunrise

Yes I live by the sea. I really should take more advantage of it because we have beautiful beaches that would be great for these photos! It's hard getting up early XD
However this photo was taken when I visited my dad, about 45minutes from here. He lives on a stunning peninsula that has loads of dolphins and the whales pass by during migration. You can actually swim with wild dolphins there! One day I will do that <3

in the summertime I live on a peninsula on the Gulf of Maine, though my exploration of the area is just limited to how far I can kayak, ahaha. there are lots of harbor seals here! I was surprised by how curious they are - apparently they like to follow kayakers around while occasionally popping their heads out of the water
