Hey here’s a thesis/visual novel thing I can share actually... here’s Ani with her parents, Farid and Callisto :’)
no matter what her dad’s facial expression actually looks like I always just look at him and think “that’s the face of a man who dares you to question that he fucked a dragon lady”

I love this! I've made art pieces like this and I feel like it's hard, because the characters could end up looking creepy. You feel me?

THANK YOU!!!! It's funny you say that, I actually had an issue with that exact problem. I think it's because old photographs are so inherently tied to being creepy or ominous. Sometimes it's hard to find the sweet spot of nostalgia without the unnerving parts!!

I think I've got the problem eradicated, since I've based several art pieces on the look of a family photo
