Description it's a little odd how by the morning I had the idea for an emotion I wanted to convey, but actually just as I had taken the photos, I really felt that way. I can't really say that I had felt in peace before taking this photo, moreover I was rather unsure about it entirely. It's something new, but I wanted to go with it. luckily, I'll have all the time in the world to explore this kind of photography in the next year .. fantastic.

also, this is one day late because my internet connection broke down yesterday evening. just in case you wondered.

For me I see something very interesting here... All the elements of a wonderful evening out. Music, dancing, coffee, and dining. If done with someone you love, whether a friend or lover, it could be the best way to describe peace. At least contentment. The setting would be the perfect place to do all of those things with someone special. Very well done, and you sure make for a great model.

Beautiful, I do get the feeling the emotion you wanted to convey was for a certain female. The teapot and cup show an urge to look after this person while still wanting to be appreciated. The guitar shows commitment in musical form, that you will be true. And the skipping at the back conveys that no matter where you are, you'll be joyful as long as the person is with you. I may be completely wrong and reading at a entirely different library, but this is my take on it.

Well ... I won't tell you this is right or wrong because really, there's no right or wrong in someone's interpretation. I like your point of view on it, the way you see it, the ideas it put in your head. It's lovely to know everyone sees something else in such pictures.

I don't normally extract such deep meaning from photographs, but after reading the description those thoughts just popped into my head.

this is great it breathes harmony right into my mind, i love it as a beautiful piece of art.

can you say, approximately, how many single exposures you took for this? i suppose its rather hard to get the poses right without overlapping, did you use some kind of marking to held you on set?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NikolasBrummer In reply to Funkelstein [2012-09-11 08:46:53 +0000 UTC]

thank you, aha!

and well ... I took four photos in total, and I basically just used a "marking" for the two poses in the front, I put a cane of tea/a cup right at the point where they overlap so I'm actually pouring the tea into my cup. And then, in GIMP, I just moved them around until they were at the exact proper position.

In every piece of art you create, I can feel how strong and overflowing each emotion is. I am always moved by your photography and find your use of light, technique and movement very unique. Was this done using multiple exposure, or combining photos in photoshop?

NikolasBrummer In reply to The-Inner-Observer [2012-08-27 04:48:29 +0000 UTC]

That is a great compliment, it touches me to know people are moved by my work.
I combined them with GIMP, I still can't afford ps.

You're welcome, you and your work deserve only the best of compliments.
Photoshop is quite expressive.. but even without the program your photos look very professional.

Nichts. Ich bin vorallem in der Qualifikationsphase I, aber das ist es gerade;
Mir mangelt es an Disziplin. Und ich will einen guten Abschluss und dieses Projekt machen. Also, um mir nicht meine Zukunft zu verbauen, muss ich gezwungenermaßen Disziplin aufbringen. Und ich schaffe es.

I really like how the... uhm. how the... you. holding the cup is looping up to the you holding the tea kettle. Had to be a little tricky figuring out where to be, no?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NikolasBrummer In reply to AizensMINE [2012-08-25 09:17:19 +0000 UTC]

Well, it wasn't actually. I don't want to brag, but saying "Yeah it really was hard" would be a lie. I just used the tea-cup as an orientation, so to say, I put it on the grass right below where I held it, and then I just remembered how "high" my face would be so I looked at that space. After a while you just kind of figure it out and it works pretty well.
But that may be also just my luck or coincidence, aha.
I still appreciate the fact that you said this. Thank you a lot!
