i think i may have a hypothesis as to why this could be...pick me! pick me!

there are red and blu clones cuz each side needed those classes for specific purposes. the red needed their own set of classes w/ specific abilities and personalities that mount up to the perfect mercenaries, and so did blu. that's why they were cloned. maybe the administrator/announcer ordered there to be clones so that during battle it would be equally fair w/ domination. plus, just as depicted in mann vs. machine, the two teams band together to fight off the robots. and that my friend, is what i truly believe about this whole dilemma...
