Two titles come to mind when looking at this picture: "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe and "MacBeth" by William Shakespeare. The first because of the distinct silhouette of the archetypical gothic bird, and the second because of the model and the title; this character could be a very convincing version of the notorious Lady MacBeth - Queen of Scotland.
The gothic elements of the picture are predominant, but where the typical gothic setup has more of an eeriness to it, this scenery is of an ominous nature, which leads the thoughts in the direction of Shakespeare's famous drama; there is tension in the air, and the birds in the night sky add a feeling of action, that supports the overall drama.
Color, composition and pose are very much in the victorian goth tradition, but the dress is atypical; revealing far more than a traditional dress of the period would do, it almost adds a fantasy element to the picture. Purists will probably not approve of that element, but those who focus on light and contrast more than stringent correctness, are likely to say that it brings balance to the composition.
