Malachite kingfisher (Corythornis cristatus), photographed on the Mashi river safaris, Caprivi, Namibia.
These are tiny living and breathing jewels. They're also a NIGHTMARE to photograph (did I mention they are tiny? Like 13 cm tiny? And my camera wanted to focus on literally everything rather than this beauty) I'm super glad I got to see them, but I still wish I'd have been able to get a little closer in.
