I'll try my best for you, but the weather is bad again :s and the littly guy just knew his 'come' command well and now it turns out it needs to be a 'here' command for 'official' dog training business, so I can start again from zero. *sigh* Luckily he learns quite well as long as he's not too distracted or tired.

i know you'll do great cant wait to see they do learn fast just be consistent in your commands and they will learn fast and allot of treats helps

Well, I'll be consistent with the 'new' command I just thought it'd be better to change it now, than when the old one was really perfectly entrenched. Still, such a stupid mistake. I'm so going to make sure to look up the official commands from now on. And well, I've uploaded one 'running' pic for you already, I hope to do better soon

Thank you Nikki just seen it well done...

itΒ΄s impotent that it works for you you dont have to do what everybody else is doing

Well, in theory, that's right, but in a training session, they sadly don't allow you to yell 'come' when all the other people are yelling 'here'. Plus, here in Belgium, there's an official socialization test your pup can do at 9 months old and if they pass it is added on their pedigree that they passed a 'good behaviour' test and I suspect them to be using those same commands. SO I'm just playing safe here. I don't think too much harm has been done, after all we'd been training the old one only for four days. I'm going to make sure it doesn't happen agian though.

Oh babies, they all seem to have the need to do so! Only thing is there are some things one really shoud NOT try (like how the electric things taste or very nice is also the earth in flowers inside, especially, when you can throw the whole thing at a side and make a big chaos! ) I wish you best luck he will not have ideas like this... One cannot be mad at him, cause he is so cute, that might be a problem in cases like this...

Nikki-vdp In reply to Hecateslight [2012-04-22 12:54:55 +0000 UTC]

The most problematic thing is that he had this momentary fixation on rhodondendron, which is poisonous, and it became worse, cause every time he tried to eat a leaf, we would have to come and try to pry it out of his mouth, which he thought was fun. Result: he ended up doing it more and more often. But yesterday evening I had Bart place a little gauze fence around them, and the problem is solved. Luckily.

like I knew it... Well, the leaves look so interesting, and it is such a funny game, and for I bet he knows it is forbiden, it is even MORE funny... But, it is good you were able to solve the problem!

Now he switched to eating the garden lanterns.....

Hecateslight In reply to Nikki-vdp [2012-04-25 08:12:55 +0000 UTC]

Oh... Oh no! Well, I could say it could be worse, but I guess I better do not say it or think about it... At least now we know he will find other interests in tasting soon. I wish you best luck with this!

lol, my 11 week old chihuahua/pug mix is the same way. "oooh, what's this, can i eat it?" then i'm all "No" and he's all "ok, no for that second, NOW can i eat it?" XD

Your goldie is adorable by the way. Kinda wish i had gotten a bigger dog, but at the same time i more needed a lap dog.

And I'm glad you like him and thanks a lot for favving! Wish you lots of fun with your puppy!
