A young war strategist and negotiator, who lived during the reign of King Henry VII, the last King of England to win his throne in battle.
Assassinated by rebel groups, due to surprise ambush. Miscalculation on his and his team's part.

As a human
Fran was born in a war-torn era, his family mostly relatives to the to-be King of that time, King Henry VII of England. Hence, Fran grew up familiar with military and battle tactics, and was brought up to be well-mannered, chivalrous, and also, to his family's pleasant surprise, a brilliant war strategist and negotiator due to his sharp instincts, quick-thinking and adaptability. At 20, he was officially drafted in to be the strategist for King Henry VII's then-stellar army. It was this army that led King Henry VII to clinch the throne in 1485, and to be the last King of England to win his throne on the battlefield. Though not particularly close to his parents, from a young age, Fran formed a strong bond with his younger sister, Auron, the only one in his family he deemed to be of an intellectual level close to him.

Fighting battles after battles made Fran grow desensitised towards the cruelty of war. He merely saw each mission as a job he had to do. He was always looking for a deeper purpose to his existence, other than the senseless killing and eradication of whole armies. Eventually, after serving as a splendid strategist and negotiator for 6 years, a surprise ambush resulted in Fran's premature demise on the battlefield. He awoke in a different kind of field, one of lovely chrysanthemum flowers, dyed his favourite colour - gold, holding a steel war fan that resembled the one his sister used to own.

As an Apprentice
Unlike some Apprentices, Fran awoke with his memories fairly intact. He caught on to Death's explanation about his new title and job as an Apprentice quickly. Seeing it as a perfect way to fill the void that had grown in him from a purposeless existence, Fran set out to become "the greatest Apprentice evaaaa". After his first few successful missions, the self-righteous, self-confident Fran, now with a new purpose in his life, felt ready to take on the world! Until he received his most dreaded Reap Request - his own treasured sister, the only family he could consider his equal.

Though Death had prepared him for this possibility, when he actually returned to the human world to do the deed, his self-righteousness overcame him. "This can't be right, this was deliberately set up for me to reject this, this is WRONG." And yup, he ended up not reaping his sister. Believing he did the right thing, he stayed with her and deserted Death's HQ for awhile, deciding to tread the path of a Fallen. This is when he saw what being a Fateless really meant: how his sister had unintentionally messed with other people's Fates, turning their threads red from pure white, causing many people's lives to be messed up in ways that wouldn't have been possible...if she didn't exist in that time and space. She wasn't supposed to exist in that time and space. It was...his fault that she did.

He realised that for once, the Great Fran had been wrong. He had messed up big time, and he needed to correct his mistake. The Fateless were never meant to exist, and Apprentices like him, the Fallen, were sad deluded failures. Determined to set things right, Fran marched back to Death's HQ with much difficulty, enlisting the help of dem reluctant birds. Upon arrival at HQ, he was attacked by several Apprentices who had been alerted about his desertion, but Death saved him, approving his request of a second chance to right his wrong. He took it, resolutely returned to reap Auron, and returned to HQ. He has never looked back since then.

The whole ordeal made Fran realise his resolve, and he has been fiercely loyal to Death ever since. He now knows how to separate emotions from his job as an Apprentice - he is fully clear of what will happen if he doesn't. However, many of the Veteran and older Apprentices still see him as The Ultimate Betrayer and can't trust him. Although Fran is perfectly capable of explaining himself to them and clearing his name, given his charisma, he doesn't bother to. He's so used to people hating on him, he just doesn't care about what others think of him anymore. Besides, they're not wrong to think that way. He was, once, deluded and foolish after all. He now clings tightly to and treasures his job as an Apprentice, feeling it is the only thing before and after death that has given him a real purpose in his life.

Fran is currently a Full-Time Reaper, who enjoys annoying people during his when he's not reaping. Or hunting down Fateless, chasing after Fallen, and searching for Hunters. He ialso in charge of Apprentice Relations, keeping tabs on all the Apprentices within HQ and, believe it or not, looking out for their welfare. Hurhur.

[ E X T R A ]
- Has tattoos on his triceps that read [ Death cannot be prevented, only postponed ] in Celtic runes to serve as an eternal reminder of his purpose and resolve.
- The scars on his neck were caused by Apprentices who had attacked him when he first returned to Death's HQ after his defection. Although he was already back on Death's side, they saw his return as a threat and tried to kill him by taking off his head. Thankfully or not he survived. He currently conceals them to avoid annoying unnecessary questioning.
- Fran is a direct descendent of The Lord Rhys, a kingdom ruler during the 12th Century. Yes he has noble blood running in him but he himself wasn't a noble lololol
- He dresses himself in white and gold clothing, to give off a false air of holiness, like an angel. It's mainly to put people off guard so they don't realise what an ass he is at first. And to convince the people he is reaping that they should ascend in peace. (self-proclaimed Angel of Death Fran hurhur)
- Fran's full name means "blessed raven", and is a Celtic Welsh name. He very seldom goes by his full name, though he likes to see the look on people's faces when he recites it like a tongue twister in their faces.
- Fran's sister's name, Auron, means "a divine ending". Funny how Destiny works out, huh.
- Despite his pretty-boy, elegant appearance, Fran is quite a barbarian when he fights.
- Very few Veteran or older Apprentices trust him fully. He's not exactly the most popular guy at HQ. heh.
- Loves his sister very very very much. There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't think of her.
