its the weekend again so its time to do some artwork for my own personal collection.over the past while i have been asked to draw quite a lot of female characters from various 80's toy lines & cartoons, so i thought this weekend i would add another 80's female cartoon character to my gallery who i used to like when i was a kid.
so here is diana the acrobat from the classic dungeons & dragons cartoon series.

I remember her. She and her five friends are in the Dungeons & Dragons Coaster Ride and trapped in the realm.

Loved that show and the way they changed as time went along.One thing that suprised me was the kids ages.I mean bobby was the youngest.I thought all the other kids where around 17.But they where 14 year old.That show had voice talent to.

The Animated Dungeons & Dragons series was one of my all time favourite cartoons during the 1980's I wish that the Live Action Movies had used the cartoon for source and inspiration because sadly most of the D&D films have been very disappointing. I had in my mind some great actors to play the characters. Warwick Davis for DM, Robert Englund or Alan Rickman for Venger depending on how scary you want him to be. The kids could be older in the movie if it was set after the cartoon. Chris Hemsworth to play Hank, Kirsten Dunst to play Shelia, Matt Damon as Eric, Simon Pegg as Presto with Halle Berry as Diana & Sean Austin as Bobby the older cast would suggest that they've been in the Realm of Dungeons & Dragons for over twenty years.

yea i really loved the cartoon series when i was a kid. i totally agree with you on the movies, they never really lived up to the standard of the cartoon. it would be fantastic to see a movie made which is based more on the cartoon series & i like your idea of having older actors. it could be like a continuation from the series to see what happened to the characters over the past number of years.

Beautiful Job!!! The best Saturday morning cartoons of the 80 I use to love this cartoon; it had really good morals to show children. I used to wake up early every Saturday morning just to watch it. I thought Diana was pretty cool she was really level headed and held the team together in a good way with positive comments mostly.

It always got me mad that they got the classes wrong in that show. Diana should have been a Monk and Eric a Paladin. Also, Eric should have received some offensive power as well. Hell, they all should have received more than just one magical weapon. Still, I suppose Diana makes up for the show's short comings.

i never played the actual game so i guess those points never bothered me in the series as i did not have them to compare to. but i can see how it could upset a fan of the game.
