Abilities
[ Flight ] He's a butterfly! Of course he can f- Oh...uh, nevermind.
[ Basic Potionmaking Skills ] He's come from a family of potionmakers, his mother was the best of their tribe and she taught him a few things. Mostly just healing and basic survival potions, but he's learning more in his classes!
[ Shrinking/Growing Abilities ] Asa's home village is actually small enough for bugs to live in, and they're tiny while within the walls there. However, he can grow to the size of a regular person. It's easier to do so while he's asleep, growing while awake kind of hurts, but shrinking is super easy! No one really knows why...

He used to be a very excitable kid, but he doesn't feel much of anything anymore. The murder games had left him as an empty husk of the person he used to be, and now he doesn't really know how to act. He stays in his room most of the time, refusing to speak to anyone. To some few, that old Asa shines through, but it's very rare. He's built walls taller than ever before, he never wants to make to mistake of trusting anyone ever again. He can't give anyone that power.
History:
Asa was born into one huge family, all knit together in the same tribe for hundreds of generations. They lived a cosy life, in little huts and cobblestone houses. Everyone was fairly warm and friendly, and there were lots of different types of bug families! Asa's own family of butterfly-species witches was well-known for their potionmaking affinity, as well as their looks. They were extremely vain, their colourful wings were the pride and joy of their family name. They'd taught Asa that there was nothing more important than keeping them well-kept.
He had a fairly normal childhood, though he was very attached to his older brother, Tai. They were practically inseperable, Asa had spent all of his free time playing with his brother and his friends. And any time he didn't spend with his brother, he spent with his mother, helping her with her potions. Asa's father was around, but he was a father to a lot of families, as their tribe was rather small and mature males were rare, so Asa didn't see him around very much. And any time he did see him around... well, he didn't really enjoy the time they spent together, he wasn't very nice.
Everything turned around, however, once Asa had gone through puberty. Like all caterpillars, he had to morph into a butterfly eventually. And once he had left his caccoon and his family had seen what had come out...well, then everything changed. His wings were dull, they were brown. How could his family possibly accept him when he looked more like a moth than a butterfly? They couldn't mask their disappointment for very long, Asa had grown up to be a failure, and they didn't want him around anymore to disgrace the family name. They didn't ask him to leave. No, instead he awoke one morning surrounded by his brother and his friends, the very same people he'd spent his life loving and having fun with. They dragged him by the arms, up and up, high over the walls of their tribe, somewhere far away in the plains. They made sure he'd know how weak he was, they made sure he'd never want to return, and the made sure he never could return anyways. With shredded wings, he'd never be able to fly over the wall again.
Completely on his own, with nothing but a satchel filled with some belongings and a potions book, Asa was completely at a loss for what to do. He'd never been away from his family before, and he was injured on top of that. So he stayed put for a while, just sitting there in a field, using the trees as cover when he had to. Since he never had his wings properly treated, the one side caught an infection, stinging his nerves and making it so that they could never heal properly ever again. Eventually Asa knew that he had to go somewhere, and so he picked up his things and set out to find a different family, a better one!
And, somehow, that led him here... He wasn't sure how well this was gonna go...
Misc. Information:
- Butterfly witches typically have the same wing colour as their eyes, so Asa is a true anomoly.
- He doesn't find many things gross in the typical sense. He's a bug, he's as gross as it gets.
- He happened to have his mother's wand on him when he was kicked out, so he just sort of has that now...
- Because he has antennae, he can sense things slightly better than most people.
- His wings are sensitive to touch, but it's mostly just uncomfortable. Don't touch his antannae though. Do not.
- He looooooves honey, even though he's not a bee...
- His favourite colour is green! Obviously-
- Being cut off from most of the world, he doesn't know a lot of things. It makes him a bit socially inept sometimes...
- His wings have more cuts in them than when he came here, but he'll deny that if you ask about it. He had to cope somehow...

Wisteria - He thought you were the coolest girl in the whole school, what happened? Why did you suddenly start to hate him? Why did you make Sam leave him alone to be killed? What did he do to you..?
Dex - He's a bird, and Asa had always been taught to be fearful of birds, but he actually seems pretty nice. Maybe a little quiet, though. Not buggy at all.
Valkyrie - He didn't mean to make you fall, and he's sorry that you find him ugly. Definitely not buggy. Practically human!
Oleander - He doesn't understand why you've stuck around, or why you try so hard to make him happy. But...even though he's skeptical, he still enjoys your presence. Please don't leave him too.
Ole - You're kind of pushy, and rude, and negative, but he likes you alright. Maybe you can come around and see how he's drawing now, it's getting better!
Sinclair - It feels like just his existence annoys you...He doesn't know what he did to make you so bitter around him all the time, but he's fine just staying out of your way. It gets a little difficult trying to get private time to cry and let his feelings out, though...
Roo - You never came to see him... Are you okay? Do you hate him too? Please, he hopes you haven't abandoned him too.
Helmy - He looked up to you, he trusted you, but everything you told him was a lie. Why did you tell him all those things? Why did you give him hope just for it to all be ripped away? And why does he have to see your stupid green face for the next four years until he graduates?!
Stolas - He doesn't know why you hurt him, but he just hopes to never see you again. It hurt so badly, both the inside and outside wounds.
Samhain - He thought you were his best friend, but you just left him like everyone else. Fine. FIne. He can hate you then. He hates you. He hates you. He hates you.

Asa- -Oh God, he was late! He was so late! Having to get to places on foot instead of by flying was so inconvenient and slow! Damn it, what if he missed the registration time and he wasn't allowed in!? Oh no, oh gosh, run faster!- -Asa was scrambling to get to the campus, wings fluttering in the air like crazy as papers fell out of his bag. But there it was, the school castle! The lounge was just inside and he could make it! He ran inside, majorly disoriented as he headed towards the pedestal. The butterfly witch was quick to cut his finger with the pen (hardly flinching at all!) and sign his soul away, a proud smile on his face as he stepped down and- Eek-! -Fell flat on his face down the steps.- Ah, oww...s-stupid ffhghg... UGH. -He pouted, trying to regain his composure. He was lucky that there was hardly anyone here now, except for that weird-looking Halloween guy.-

The little butterfly witch pouted as he looked over his new dorm room. Apparently this room was cursed so that he'd wake up covered in blood each morning, which he didn't mind too much, because he wasn't grossed out by blood, but that just seemed like it'd be really messy! Blood was kind of smelly and hard to get out of fabric, so he'd have to wash his sheets and pajamas really well every day... Man, he really hated doing the laundry. "Ehh, ah well. It's better than nothing~" He shrugged, beginning to unpack his things.
