Description not overly happy with the back and side views, but here it is. I might do some tweaking later.

after this is going to be one of three: Nova, Striker, or Breakout (formerly known as Rocko). After those three comes Soundblaster (with some modifications to my previous group shot version of him). finally getting PROPER references out after 4 years, primus.

I also finally settled on a backstory. It turned out a lot sadder than I thought it would. I didn't kill everyone, but it's still real sad. My backstories are also slowly getting longer as I write more of them...

---

Personality (basic): adaptable, confident, charismatic, aggressive, dedicated, realistic, cold, sometimes unapproachable, respectable, protective, stern, cynical

Personality (detailed): Deadbolt is not a very approachable bot in general. He used to have this sort of flair, often coming off somewhat brash when acting on his own or in a small group. But as time went on, he became very serious and cold/isolated. He internalizes his grudges rather easily, so few ever get to see his aggressive side. But because of his almost intense protective instinct towards the members of his team, any who dares to mess with them will often see his wrath.

Despite seldom leaving the ship nowadays, Deadbolt is very adaptable in different situations. He can take hits like no one else, and his realistic viewpoint on certain things prevents him from being ensnared by most emotional traps. He is a very dedicated and stern leader for his team to the point where anyone outside of their loop would see him as cynical. And while there is some truth to that, he's only a tad cynical.

Now that doesn't mean he doesn't smile or laugh or anything like that. He's not nearly as emotionally unavailable as Thunderbolt. These are just his dominant traits. He is still the "father" of the team, but no one ever really acknowledges that. They only kind of notice when someone points it out and they try to deny it, only to fail. Everything he does, he does for the team. Every move, every decision, everything. It's very easy to respect him as a leader as his dark, charismatic nature allows him to smooth negotiations over like a calm breeze.

Normal Mood: Focused and cold

Good Mood: Lenient; smiles (woooooah)

Bad Mood: Isolated and (almost completely) unapproachable

Likes/Loves:
- his team
- construction
- culture (sort of secretly)
- aerial performances
- racing (on few occasions and in a very good mood)
- fighting
- working

Dislikes/Hates:
- liars/cheaters
- paperwork
- fights on the ship
- when people break the implied rules of the ship
- when some fragging Autobot thinks it's a great idea to capture a member of Team Sunder
- when some fragging Autobot thinks he's an easy kill; spoiler alert: he's not

Fears: losing any of his teammates

Strengths: bulky and powerful; a force of brute strength, but the with brains to boot

Weaknesses: can tend to lose his cool when a member of the team is in danger

Habits: slipping into his old gladiator lingo/slang

Soft Spot: his family *ahem* teammates

Hobbies: reading

Interests: construction and culture

Talents: natural leadership

Quote(s): "If we should meet again, I'd like it to be in the arena." (old)
"Team Sunder rule number one; you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us."
"I swear to Primus if someone causes one more explosion on this ship I'm gonna-" *explosion in the background* "GODDAMMIT BOOM BOX."

Bio: Deadbolt was constructed in Kaon before the war and well into the Golden Age of Cybertron's caste system. Early on in life, he decided to become a gladiator to earn himself money for proper living, and he even fought for energon rations sometimes. He was a skilled fighter and honed his skills in the ring, often solving problems more with his fists than with his brain. During this time, while he wasn't arrogant, he was a showboat. He had this grandeur set of mannerisms about him, despite the slang he had developed from all his time fighting.

Even so, Deadbolt enjoyed going to other cities just to relax or wind down from a long day. He learned much about the vastly different cultures of each city from Vos's hierarchial system and aerial centered way of life, to Tarn's more mining-based economy. He was never allowed to go alone though. Unlike Megatronus, who could do as he please, Deadbolt was often accompanied by guards who followed not far behind to make sure he didn't become pissed off and beat up some random civilian. He was considered unpredictable, but to this day he still doesn't know why.

He didn't consider being a gladiator much of a choice. Living in Kaon meant you had to make a living by fighting for what you want and need. He would often talk about wanting to work in construction. Especially on the likes of those grandiose skyscrapers seen in Vos or the Crystal City.

The crimson mech was also a good acquaintance of Megatronus. From the start, he believed in the silver gladiator's ideology of a just Cybertron. And he wanted to help Megatronus further his goals. While Soundwave became chief of his new followers, the Decepticons, Deadbolt remained a loyal follower of such a cause throughout the political campaign. Once the campaign turned to revolution, he was made one of Megatron's lieutenants. Deadbolt often fought on the frontlines and commanded battle units throughout his history. He quickly learned how to act more on thought and control his instincts (even if yes, occasionally, you act on instinct). He was a natural leader with a commanding presence that often demanded respect, but that was often unintentional. Deadbolt doesn't TRY to be intimidating, he just kind of...is.

During the war, he didn't have much time to socialize anyway. Deadbolt was constantly being sent on missions, of which the danger levels varied. But he always had his team with him. They had been called Force Team 011-90 but renamed themselves to Team Overdrive because all of them had some form of ground-based vehicle mode.

The team consisted of Deadbolt (team leader), Mar (team medic; ATV) and his minicon, Axel (trash baby/raccoon/idek), Overthrow (second in command; off-roader), Clamp (gunner; double-barrel tank), Strikeout (sniper; "jeep"), Blackshell (transporter; shuttle and tank), and Daybreak (strategist; motorbike).

They were all very close and would go above and beyond for each other and the team. They had their fights and arguments and squabbles like any family would, but they would never abandon one another. A fun example of this is them teasing Daybreak by calling him a "femme fatale" despite that he wasn't actually a femme; he was just very feminine looking. Team Overdrive participated in missions similar to those the wreckers would take on; the ones no one wanted to do. Except unlike the wreckers, they were very good at keeping each other alive (he boasts about that a lot).

After the war went interstellar, Deadbolt lost contact with Decepticon central. They stopped receiving very many Decepticon sourced missions and started taking missions for hire or just hanging out. They explored planets, went on adventures, and overall, didn't have a bad time outside of the Decepticon loop.

The way the team went out was sudden. Through some series of events, which remain unknown to Deadbolt to this day, Mar and Axel ended up on the DJD's List long after the war went interstellar. And when the band of Megatron's "purification team" arrived to take out the Decepticon betrayers, Team Overdrive refused to give them up. The first to be killed was Blackshell as she used her massive size to defend her teammates and distract the DJD long enough for the others to run.

The DJD gave chase and both Clamp and Strikeout stationed themselves to do the most damage as the other continued to run. Clamp was captured and later taken out by Tarn's vocal weapon, while Strikeout was murdered on the spot by Tesarus. They managed to immobilize Helex and Vos, so Tarn was pretty pissed. But they also bought enough time for Mar, Axel, Deadbolt, Daybreak, and Overthrow to hide their signatures and find cover. Daybreak made a plan to escape, but they needed to get to a central hub and steal a ship since their transporter was gone. It was risky, with at best a 35% chance of success, but the others were willing to take it. The others except for Mar and Axel.

The medic and his minicon both agreed to turn themselves in without talking to the rest of the team since if they did, there was a chance the DJD wouldn't kill all of them. Like I said, above and beyond. No matter how stupid.

While they made the final touches on their escape plan, Mar and Axel knocked Deadbolt, Daybreak, and Overthrow out with one shot each and fled. Deadbolt doesn't know what became of them, but the DJD stopped chasing them. All he knows is that they had turned themselves in to save them.

The three of them escaped the planet they were on by stealing a ship they named the Lost Spark, in honor of their friends.

Deadbolt doesn't hate the DJD, in case you were wondering. No, he believes they were doing their job. He would've done the same thing if the mission was to kill a target and that target happened to have some stubborn friends. But the many years after their deaths were hard on him and the remainder of his team. All three felt the loss in different ways, and over time, the three of them distanced themselves from each other subconsciously.

Daybreak was the first to leave and strike out on his own. And after a few more years, Overthrow said his final goodbyes and Deadbolt gave him the Lost Spark as his farewell.

The mech lived aimlessly on the planet Epsilon V for several centuries, not having any real purpose. That was until he heard about an Autobot by the name of Sunder terrorizing people after learning to control the undead and becoming a terrorcon (with a bounty over his helm of around 15,000,000c). He didn't have anything else to do, and the credits were appealing, so he started tracking down Sunder.

This brought that spark and energy of the adventure back into his frame as he became more and more eager to kill this Sunder. He tracked it to Braxus then to Rhyonon where he got stuck over a ground-bridge malfunction. There he met Nova and Soundblaster and after helping them rescue their minicons (and in return help him get off the planet with their ship), they wanted in on this 15,000,000c bounty. So the three set off to find Sunder.

They found him on Nitraxous (a below-freezing planet with some seriously wacky magnetic poles) and engaged. They actually didn't do too bad, but Nova's flames and overall brute force style shook up the earth and they were also attacked by the native Indimites (large ice worm-snake things). They barely escaped to Meridian, a planet in the neighboring star cluster, with some serious injuries.

The three of them went out to find medical help. There he ran into Thunderbolt, who was about to be killed by two Autobots when he stepped in. He had recognized her as a field medic from back during the mid-early stages of the war and requested she fix them. After she begrudgingly agreed, he convinced her to come along so they wouldn't have to keep stopping at planets to fix themselves.

They continued their chase after Sunder for another year before finding him. They engaged once again...and failed once again. So they hired a Decepticon by the name of Boom Box to make some EMP shock bombs and several other bombs for them to use, and the small minibot wanted in on the action. Deadbolt agreed to bring him on board and the five of them set out to kill themselves a terrorcon.

The five of them finally defeated Sunder and claimed his bounty, and Nova proposed they stick together after that and help each other forward their own goals. Deadbolt was hesitant at first about rejoining a team, especially after what happened to Team Overdrive, but joined after Nova practically begged him to (as he puts it). That, and he was kind of bored living alone on a planet with no one else to call a friend. But Deadbolt swore he would be more careful with his new team and do everything in his power to make sure they didn't end up the same way again.

They proceeded to steal a bigger and better Autobot ship to replace their (very beat-up) ship which they later dubbed the Impulse. A ship with plenty of room for more teammates to come. They established themselves as "Team Sunder", a Decepticon bounty hunting team, elected him as the leader, and they were off.

During the early stages of Team Sunder, Deadbolt went on just as many missions as the rest of them. But as the numbers increased and their reputation began to grow, he started going on fewer and fewer missions. It wasn't a sudden transition, but eventually, he no longer went on missions with the team. Not that anyone minded. He was their leader for a reason after all.

Now he's very protective of his new family. And he'll never forget Team Overdrive. But he swears every day not to lose this one too.

I already have the bio for Striker done, so I'm gonna do her next lol

The reason they take so long is that while the art only takes like, six hours, the bio takes days for me to come up with a finish. I spend four days thinking and reflecting subconsciously, then I sit down and spit out a bio in an hour XDD

Since I plan on going for an art-related major in like a year and a half (game design or digital I'm not sure yet), I have to get more active in the art field and get myself to the level of drawing something every day.
