Very yay for dark dragons. Β There's so many impressions coming off this that I wouldn't even know where to start. It could have done with a touch more light yellow to the eye, to make it more alive...but I'll just sit here and

Haha...How easy the obvious escapes us by being, well, obvious. I love the image as a whole, but that would have been extra droolworthy
Ah, still trying to get my hands on an agent or publisher at this end..so no news, positive anyway, to share. Since a lot take a long time to reply (if they actually bother) it's very slow going. The ones that have liked it so far have all also wished it was targeted to a more middle-grade audience *big sigh* Β Perseverance...need more perseverance.Β

Definitely not giving up. It's more about being at the right time with the right people more than anything else really. A lot of authors who are, today, household names, struggled a lot to get published when they first started out and while I might not believe I'll reach their heights, it's kind of comforting to know even they struggled (and the publishers and agents tearing their hair out for not signing them when they had the chance lol). I'll always be writing...but it'd be more fun if I could share it with others (and not having to keep a day job for the bills)
If I do manage to get it out there on the market, remind me that I shall have to send a copy your way, for doing such a tremendous job at brining it to life in images

This really stands out
If itt could help: I only feel the composition is a bit off. The left part is very 'heavy' and somehow inviting to look beyond the border of the image there. For one reason the dark, empty right part is a good counterpart. But it still feels a bit too much centered on the left. Not sure, maybe it would help to put the head more to the right, or keep it in place and make the smoke from his nose more outspoken. Just thinking

You are right about the composition and in fact I noticed this too. I know the right side is either too dark or too empty, but whatever I tried - being lazy and with that little ambition I had left - didn't look right. I just couldn't bring myself to care much about it. xD So it's not just you who thinks it looks wrong.
