If I had to pick alucard's dad from the HT series, I would go with Vlad, he's referred to as Vlad Tepes Dracula in the Castlevania games, after all.
This way you don't have to worry yourself about Drac cheating on Martha or anything, she's still his one and only zing prior to HT3.
Drac's dad Vlad was basically super-evil so he fits the Castlevania example better. He'd also make a better match for Vampire Hunter D's dad, Sibella Dracula's dad, etc.
