Preview from Blood and Gold inspired by a comment byRatigan think that Ray seems be a little too good friends with Basil and Amber, and he is afraid that his first-mate will betray him and change side.
This is one of my best pictures of Ray's hat. I love his hat! ... but it is a hell to draw...!
Just realized how much it looks like Haunted
(My style has not changed much... mostly my colouring)

Without even seeing the reference I immediately felt Rattigan and Basil in this drawing. The drawing and expressions are good, but your colors are muddy especially around not Rattigan's shoulders. Also looking at your Rat/Basil drawing Rattigan towers over Basil a little, and truly gives the feeling of intimidation. Here the tension is lost and seems just like an altercation.
Unless that was your intention. Original work is awesome too.
